More Brisbane teams is actually more lucrative for NRL
Short term yes. Until Fox run out of money.
The game needs to get traction Internationally, International TV rights, sponsorship etc are key to that

PNG isn't generating revenue in any way.Having more competitive national teams is what will really bring the money in

I've said this from day dot, unfortunately the Karen/shit4brains brigade can't seem to get around the fkn whatifsisms on the actual NRL side that needs to be able to showcase their pathways, and is the very reason those pathways would need to exist, aswell the ONLY FKN REASON THE GOVERNMENTS would pay for itI knew you’d understand what I wrote. PNG will help feed the comp if done correctly
Or do ALL of the above ALL at the same timeGreat, then buy superleague & invest in USA!!
Yes Government invest in RL pathways all the time.....I've said this from day dot, unfortunately the Karen/shit4brains brigade can't seem to get around the fkn whatifsisms on the actual NRL side that needs to be able to showcase their pathways, and is the very reason those pathways would need to exist, aswell the ONLY FKN REASON THE GOVERNMENTS would pay for it
In a foreign country yes they do, and no not very often in RLs case, hunters and silktails are the only example, while RU has moana and drua getting a considerable more for their 1st grade SR sides, we get fk all in comparison, you're basically arguing for us not to lobby for cash handed out by the government where as other codes have zero issue with it, nor has anyone given zero shits that they gotten away with it, for the same reason you vilify Pvl for trying in PNGs caseYes Government invest in RL pathways all the time.....
It's there sole concern
Yes I'm arguing that RL shouldn't rely on government handouts. That's been my argument all along. In a foreign country yes they do, and no not very often in RLs case, hunters and silktails are the only example, while RU has moana and drua getting a considerable more for their 1st grade SR sides, we get fk all in comparison, you're basically arguing for us not to lobby for cash handed out by the government where as other codes have zero issue with it, nor has anyone given zero shits that they gotten away with it, for the same reason you vilify Pvl for trying in PNGs case
Karen to the max
Correct it shouldn't need to, but its a business get money where you can while you can get itYes I'm arguing that RL shouldn't rely on government handouts. That's been my argument all along.
Being on the dole isn't an aspiration.
I'll give you $100k towards a $5M a year rental, and you're liable for joint for the rest of its existenceCorrect it shouldn't need to, but its a business get money where you can while you can get it
Liable HahahahahahaI'll give you $100k towards a $5M a year rental, and you're liable for joint for the rest of its existence
Imagine a regional Australian town where two neighbours have a dispute. Let's say a cow wanders from one field into another and the other neighbour now claims the cow. Both sets of neighbours, instead of getting lawyers or going to the cops, each get a bunch of their mates together. They then play a rugby league game and the winner gets the cow.PNG juniors beat Australian schoolboys last year. Galvin played for Australia so it wasn't useless guys.
That is on the back of them following the Penrith model starting last year, so the process has began
How many people will tune in to watch PNG play?
How many people will show up to see their team play PNG?
I'm sure these questions are be in asked by the broadcasters and clubs.
I honestly don't understand the insane level of support on this board for a team from Perth. It won't lead to a huge influx of talented WA juniors progressing into star NRL players. Nor will it convert many people from WA into RL fans.Probably same as visiting Perth team or Melbourne
I want ALL expansion bids to get up, 24club comp would dwarf all other codes here, and make us the leading sport in the Pacific, we just need EVERY club to invest in their catchments/junior base and create a wealth of players to stockpile our collective talent pool enough to filter thru to the areas like a Perth team and/or Adelaide (which I agree we don't really need, but why not) If there's a chance to push for it, and the game is making money and streamlined now enough to become a bohemeath, don't worry about turning existing rival fans into RL fans, they'll get on board when they get regular matches just like the WAhs and Storm recently, (traditionally not RL) since covid it looks like the game has better viewership in those areas, and hey you can be a fan of both codesI honestly don't understand the insane level of support on this board for a team from Perth. If the team turns out to be smaller than the Titans then Perth Rat, mongoloid and The Great Dunce will have to eat humble pie.

The very reason P Vlad is building an asset base to provide the code with financial backing when or if the tough times arise. The game is currently in a growth phase. At some stage it will stagnate and possibly retract. It happens to all businesses.
Twenty years ago RU was in a strong position. It expanded too quickly. Now it's in all sorts of trouble.
A-League was stable until it bit off more than it could chew.
