Well Newtown are the Sharks feeder club after all, what would you expect lol.
Newtown listed their Crowd today as 8,972, they have this every home game, there was lucky to be 2,000 there today.
Look at this Sea of Blue.
The Sharks have won a Grand Final.
North Sydney never, ever accomplished that.
In modern terms they were Minor Premiers, first-past-the -post. The Sharks could add their two Minor Premierships to the tally going off North Sydneys "premierships"

I Lived in Perth when the Reds were coming in to the comp. Rugby League was big there then. It could be again, without Norths, they do not need them.

One GF in 57 years, turn off those porch lights, and a tainted Premiership at that.
Bring on those pep tides.

Like I said, not one Grand Final win for Norths.
Actually in 1922 both North Sydney and Glebe finished equal first on equal points, at the top of the ladder.
So they had to play a Final to decide a winner, and North Sydney defeated Glebe 35-3.
So North Sydney did play a match to decide a Premiership victory.
How about we compare the Sharks from 1967-1999 with the Bears during the same period, no comparison lol.

Not a Grand Final, and definitely not the same support the Sharks have.
You're a second-tier club, accept the fact.

It was a match to decide a Competition, same thing.
Sharks are an existing NRL club, how can a NSW Cup club compete with that ?.
Though looking at Newtowns proposed crowd figure today 8,972 it is actually pretty close to what Cronulla would draw to a home game lol.
Now go away with your poofy little spirit fingers rubbish.

No real fan of Rugby League would finish the efforts of any premiership winning team no matter how the premierships were won at the time.

There is a reason the past isn’t looked at through modern day lenses.

Not to mention there actually was a “grand final” (in modern terms) in 1922.

Maybe so some research before making yourself look like a dick.

Fact is, Cronulla-Sutherland play in the NRL. North Sydney play in the NSW Cup.
Your team plays in the second tier comp for a reason, you could not, and will not, hold a place in the Premier competition.
Why would anyone want to associate with a failed team that was kicked out because they were deemed not worthy.
Bunch of losers supporting a loser team. Cest la vie.
