It's a tough one. I personally believe that that was most upsetting for the NRL is they're effectively.. burning all the time , effort and money of all these bids .. they know that !and respect all that . and the WA consortium thought to offer nothing .. the NRL looked to have preferred WA but to except it on such little grounds is really disrespectful of the other bids.Yep totally understand that.
Cumins was super reluctant to step up again having been burnt badly before in 2012. He probably should have listened to his gut and not wasted his time and money!
You need to reward the best bid, if you don't do that, then the next round of bidding will be empty . Why would you bother to throw millions into a bidding process that was already decided?
Perth gave that impression and its not something that the NRL can afford.
