Sorry for the young ones.
I figure they are mostly at “Sharks forever “.

if not, watch you tube.

I loved that 99 team. They were so good to watch.

Although the 2023 team is the best I have seen, and I am a declared idiot.#1972

Hopefully we go two games better .
That merkin Kent said last night on 180.

Sownthing like “Fitz is subtlety changing the way the game attacks”
And that’s Hannay and Dj.

Running 7 playing all over the field reacting to defensive line opportunities.
Maybe why they put Burton in 7 at the dogs.

Nichos certainly falling into his groove.
Less dead end plays this year where he runs himself out of options.

Great to watch.

Did we take out copyright?

Not possible to copyright anything new or good in NRL as Gould already invented it.

I think you will find there are lots of old farts on the other forum who remember 1999 and are still continually haunted by it.

I don’t care what anyone says we were definitely the best team that year.

Bloody Mundine decided to have a blinder in the 2nd half and we know what happened there after.
yep pretended in the GF and big Lazarus was doing cart wheels.

suck shit haha up at HT and lost lol

typical dragons, play half a season or half a game. Same thing.

Tragedy that ET didn't get to life the trophy that year. I don't remember another year where we played as entertaining attacking football as the 1999 team.

I cried too, but I did enjoy a laugh over Lazarus' cartwheels.

Interesting that Johnny Lang has said the 99 team was his best bunch, though I think 2001 was their equal.

Comparing the 2, the class of 99 definitely had a better pack of forwards that 2023, without splitting hairs over who is better in their respective positions, I think the backs are more or less equal, though in 99, but we did not have a Nicho equivalent.

I went to the 99 GF and laughed like a crazy man at the antics of Jamie Ainscough in gifting the GF to the Storm. Storm hadn't been around long enough to cement their evil so were preferable to a Dragons win.

I was working and studying at TAFE and UTS at the time and just all over the shop. It was one of the times I listened to my gut and didn’t go…and sadly was right in that the stars didn’t align.
2016 I was sitting on the fence, but had tickets from mid season. Thankfully we fell over the right side of the fence
