Like some of the best I've seen, Hadlee, McGrath, Garner, Marshall - Cummins and Hazelwood just give you nothing - consistently impressive and in helpful conditions, lethal...

To be fair to Stokes he hasn't played cricket in, like, forever...

That's a fairly astronomically massive call

I think if England had have bowled and has Australia in a position like this one, it would have boded well for the series. This just confirms our worst fears for the series.

The quality in the English side will get better - their quick bowlers are good, yours are better, and they rely heavily on Root, Stokes, Buttler and to a degree Pope - at home you can rely on Warner and others to chip in around Smith and the Saffer

I don't really understand why they didn't bowl - conditions looked helpful, and their pace attack is good - guess they've been burned before, but they're getting burned now too...

Our incredibly fragile batting is why I'm amazed at these outlandish 4 and 5-nil predictions. Root/Stokes are surely going to punish us at some stage, and Starc and Lyon have been passengers for a while on the bowling side of things. We are more than capable of being blitzed for 80 and losing from just about any position haha

well firstly f**k you plastic face for saying Starc's first ball was an accident

secondly Haze 2 for 3 off 7, just wow.

Paddy must think this test cricket stuff is OK

Conservative decision is to bat, but bowling first was their best chance, considering that their top order is so fickle

fair enough.

For mine, you're at home. Your batting is better. Your bowling is better.

Should be pretty straightforward.
