Siddle was very unlucky though, had Bopara in trouble only for him to get boundaries through edges

You Victorians are a funny lot, he bowled rubbish with the exception of the 2nd new ball spell. Johnson is a certain pick for the series as he has the performances on the board. Siddle will have to bowl a heck of a lot better in the 2nd innings to keep his spot, unlucky or not he leaked a lot of runs and 4 an over is too much for test cricket. Hilfenhaus will tear it up in England if he keeps bowling like that, I barely saw Siddle swing one ball!

Nope watched it on TV. He was ordinary, he bowled one good ball to get Prior but failed to swing it, and frankly went for 4 an over which is too high. I'd rather Clark play.

 Obviously werent watching too closely then as he was swinging it both ways throughout the day

As for Clark,if he cant get a game this test then he is doesnt stand much chance, although if Lords is more pace friendly then it will be Hauritz who misses out

But I can see why you rubbish Siddle, cant stand the thought that any changes and it will be Hauritz to get dropped :D

Was a big wicket. Will be seeing a lot of him this series.

On a side note, one benefit of Hauritz over Clark will be our tail end batting. Hilfenhaus, Clark and Siddle at 9 , 10 and 11 wouldnt be our strongest.

If they were worried about the batting then they could have played McDonald

16 runs down to third man yet Punter wont put a fielder there

Siddle looks stiff, over pitching way too much
