I was just looking at his ODI statistics and I was looking in the wrong collumn oops:oops: He has 6 wickets in Malaysia from 2 matches.
he has slightly better figures in Sri Lanka than in Malaysia though. An average of 12.66 in Malaysia, average of 12.28 in Sri Lanka.

Interestingly enough, his worst figures are in Australia. Average of over 30 in Australia.

Probably. This is unfortunately more of a reflection on everybody else being inconsistent and producing too much crap than him being overly good.

Disagree. In the last two years Watson has been as good as anyone in the world. In every form.

Maybe in ODIs, but definitely not in tests, definitely been the best in Australia, but nowhere near the best of other countries.

very encouraging effort

need to beat this lot to retain our no 1 ranking, solid batting as well again a mainly spin attack which is a nice change

never seen Notch bowl this well ever, I'd like to think it was due to a change in bowling coach but shouldn't get too excited over 1 game

It was good to see a captain willing to make changes and take risks again, and it looks like Billy has been working overtime with Shitchell. Unfortunately that means that myth Cooley will be working with all our best young quicks

Have always said the team would function much better under Pup simply because he wouldn't let the game drift like Ponting. So long as he can translate his regained form into the tests he'll be a very fondly recalled captain.

As for Shitzell. Well we've seen before that his good days come at the cost of several shocking days so I won't be getting too excited yet. I applauded Billy's appointment but if he can turn Johnson into even a moderately consistent bowler then he will deserve a spot in the Hall of Fame for that alone. I asked after the WACA if he had turned the corner and it turned out it was just another of his aberrations. I expect we'll have the old Shitzell spraying it around soon enough. Probably his first over of the first test.

Well that's Johnson's good bowling spell of the tour over. It's a shame, We need someone to fire in the tests more so then the ODI's

I was really happy with the captaincy of Clarke, did hos own thing and it paid off. Doherty is going to be a very good spinner for us in the ODI's IMO. Shame Smith couldn't get more of a bowl but with Johnson on fire we will have to live with that.
