imo, i woulda thought swinging the ball would be harder because the air is thinner at higher altitudes, therefore less friction on the rough side of the ball through the air to cause it to swing

Where are all thos people up in arms over how 'unlucky' Bollinger were? Siddle and McDonald were just as 'unlucky', Siddle had 2 catches dropped and McDonald an LBW given not out.

rain has been forecast

the declaration and deterioration of the pitch will be pretty important

Rain has been forecasted for the whole test but it seems to come in the last hour so has been good so far. If we lose from here I'm blaming the selectors for not picking a 4th specialist bowler.

They have enough runs already.

Well they lead at the moment by 300 so your confident we can bowl them out again for less than 250. If we already have enough runs then why didn't punter enforce the follow on?

Hehe Hughes again given not out when he gloved one down the leg side. But geez he needs to work on that.

Hughes' nerves are still evident...he's never going to win awards for his technique but he's not this poor against the short legside stuff either. That said, he does have a history of gritty, ugly knocks and this is certainly that so far

As long as he gets runs it doesn't matter how.

I agree totally. The gloves down the legside worry me but he doesn't usually do that and he'll play (and leave the ball) more freely when he's more comfortable.

He just brought up his 50 too...gutsy knock
