Especially if you saw what happened in the West Indies this morning :x

Nah I missed all the fuss, sadly....but even in this game Boucher wasn't out, it was fairly clear that he wasn't, and they still went with it? It's just silly IMO

Johnson goes now...bollocks

Johnson goes, we could be bowling before lunch. At least Ponting won't have to worry about setting a target.

Declare now and get on with it. Not much point watching Siddle and Hilfy do nothing but wreck the team's confidence further. Need to declare on our terms, not theirs.

We have enough runs anyway

5 sessions is still very possible to get it. We only have 3 specialist bowlers, all SA need is 2 decent partnerships and they are well on their way to chasing down another 400 total against us.

It will be difficult on this pitch to chase anything more than 300..as long as McDonald does not bowl we are a good chance imo!

400 should be enough

You guys would be in a lot of trouble if it weren't for Mitchell Johnston, Marcus North and Brad Haddin (and perhaps worth mentioning Peter Siddle).

The South Africans own Mike Hussey

You would think so but after what happened in Perth I'm not ruling it out. Siddle is still hit and miss, Johnson and Hilfy unknown and McDonald may get the odd wicket but certainly needs the others to be doing the work.

Wow, what`s happened since I last checked in? Wickets falling like drunken flies. That pitch must be a minefield, no way SA can get close this time.

I don't think we can discount Hughes' 75 either. It wasn't pretty, he was obviously nervous and very lucky...but he still scored almost half our runs in this innings. Without him the lead is only 330 odd
