Ironic isn't it - the amount of time they have their sub fielder on the field one would think he would take the odd catch - but then again that goes hand in hand for wickets.

By the sounds of things I'd almost be tempted to throw Bell into the openers position and drop Cook to 4 or 5.

If he's going to be relying on his back foot, he'll be wasting the poms time as an opener in Australia

pretty incompetent all-round performance by England... appalling really, be pretty hard for them to recover from this... quite similar to NZ's performance in the first test against Aust a year or two back - but at least for us Oram and Vetorri played well... Flintoff's bowling was ok, but aside from that...
