Looks like this match will be determined by Australia's second innings

It doesnt look like Australia will get much of a lead, if one at all. If that is the case, Australia wont have enough time to get a big enough lead to bowl India out a second time around

And Dhoni is a home track bully, hes a kitten away from playing at home

Anyone else actually miss the fact that Maxderp wasn't selected?

Really missing hating on him

I don't understand why neither Clarke or Warner had a bowl.

I mean all well and good having 3 quicks trying to blast it, but the Indians played THREE spinners. Since it's their home ground, you would like to think they'd know best.

Just a thought.

New ball crucial.

If Australia don't make at least 2 break throughs I can see India powering to a lead of 150 plus, which will just about be enough I feel

Cricinfo:

"A superb counterattack. The captain is standing tall and leading from the front a day after copping unfair criticism from a long-time team-mate"

ugh... can't stand how Dhoni gets off the hook as soon as he makes easy runs in India.

Starc showing why he is not a test cricketer at this point in town. Without any stock ball to fall back on he just attempts yorkers, either sprays them (slapped for four) or just to full (and slapped for four). It's alright have a near unplayable delivery. you need to be able to build pressure around it though, and he doesnt have this.

I mean it's OK, he'll take three wickets in quick time when India are 7/500 and be a lock to the end of the Ashes. At the moment though he's bowling poorly, as he has for large portions of the home summer (in test cricket). If we have to have a lefty i'd go Johnson at present, he bowler better in the home test series and has a good record in India. Not that I like Johnson. Ultimately we should be playing Bird, who comfortably bowled better than Starc in the home test summer and is better suited to these conditions. And, at this point in time, a better bowler

Ive never rated Starc at Test level. Average at best when you measure the full body of his work.

Jackson Bird is much better.
