He wrote an article in an English tabloid in September, about a month before the kiwis began their tour here

The Smith comment was in July, the Warner one in September as you say. Either way hardly hot off the press.

Geez Australia are the ultimate flat track bullies.

Can't score more than 60 when it swings, but belt 400 in a day on a flat deck.

Warner is the new Sehwag.

You may wanna ask the Kiwi batsman if they think its a flat track

Gayshaw and nein doing their best to cross promote vfl. Do they know they don't actually broadcast that shit?
Like the cretin cares, useless turd should have been drowned at birth. I only ever switch it on when play starts. As little of them fools as possible.

I only turned it on early because I didn't know if there were any delays yesterday that might require extra time and the first thing I see is some no name fitzgray player and I thought wtf? Then I heard the smooth jizz-moistened tones of the gayshaw and it started to make sense. In a nonsensical nein kind of way.

In Brisbane you would think they would interview one of the Bronco's, instead they interview a stick figure no one has ever heard about.

Disappointing from the kiwi's. As Bryan Waddle has said, they look underdone. Probably in part to do with the shite dished up at Blacktown and poor planning on their own behalf.

Latham throwing his wicket away set the tone for Taylor, McCullem and Neesham getting spooked by Johnson and Starc.

Pitch isn't doing a heap, but it shows the power of having 550 odd in the first innings. Even when off to a good start the pressure can go on you in an instant. Also shows that in Australia a bit of pace is useful.

Hazlewood set the tone, he bowled really well yesterday I thought.

Hope the kiwi's fight hard today tbh, would like a contest. Williamson is class and Watling is a fighter. If nothing else they need to be able to take something into the rest of the series.

Pretty successful test match for Australia so far, with Burns/Khawaja making runs and the bowlers putting in some good spells

ABC commentary team is really good this summer. Rogers, Katich and Nannes have been really good additions.

I reckon the Aussie fans might like Watling...

He's not the most talented kid... But he's a real scrapper... Hopefully I don't jinx the kid.

Yeah was at the Basin on day 3 last year (I think it was), where NZ looked in deep shit at 5/160 odd, only about 10 ahead, him and williamson fought like crazy that day and ended up both turning it into big scores (double for Kane, 140 odd for Watling). Watling doesn't average 40 odd for no reason

I just tweeted that channel 9 test cricket commentators must have been a test captain for at least 20 tests, or played at least 75 tests.

Slater played 74 tests btw.

Between Root, Smith, Williamson and Kohli there's some classy, young middle order batsmen around at present.
