Good ball just before lunch when you just want to get to the pavillion. Tried to avoid it and it caught the glove

I think this is a good opportunity for Khawaja, could fight to take the number 3 spot off Marsh (either that or an opening spot).

Don't know how you can say it was poorly played Beads. Didn't do a lot wrong. Just a good nut to be getting first up. Followed him a bit and didn't get up too high.

Got to say I was very impressed by Lyon today and very underwhelmed by Starc. Starc bowled okay yesterday but was horrible today.

Maybe the dropped catch f**ked his confidence? Meh.

Time for Hughes to score a quickfire 300

well if he dropped his hands he would have not been hit on the gloves.

Starc bowled pretty much how I expected.

Lyon was very good. I like him heaps, but still think O'Keefe provides just a bit more.

Lovely wrists from Uzi.

Wince-worthy stereotyping from Mark Nicholas on air. ""Almost Asian looking," he says of that Khawaja flick. I remember Hayden playing it equally well.

moffo loves Mark.

He did drop his hands. They can't go through his body. It's utter bullshit to think that you won't have your hands up when you see a ball short of a length. You don't have your hands up you never play a cross bat shot. He was in the right position for the length then seeing the line wasn't their for cut or pull tried to leave. All text book stuff. When it decked in he had no where to go. The ball was just too good.

Jeez Khawaja has a great technique. Mark Waugh the was best batsman to watch with his elegance bordering on lazy flicks through mid wicket but nothing beats watching textbook technique.

I also really hate it when teams open up with a spinner, that's piss weak.
