Mcgrath didnt move it much but he was bloody accurate. There is a place for Siddle in the team as the steady line and length bowler behind Cummins and Pattinsons speed and dangerous bowling. Sort of a poor mans Mcgrath to Lee and Gillespie.

But first he needs to learn how to bowl consistent line and length....
He may not have moved it much but he always moved it. That is the key, he was always moving it off the seam and kept a deadly accurate line and length. Siddle is usually straight up and down like Watson used to be, he has a lot of heart but nothing doing otherwise.

Is Hughes a Kiwi? Seriously, that was as pathetic as anything our lot offerred...

Maybe he can just hang out in our dressing room?

Warner gets a century on debut

Seriously Warner definitely has the tools to be a very good opener I think he'll do much better than Hughes

Warner may make a good lower order batsman as well, bat at 6 or 7 and take on that Gilchrist style role. Given that Marsh and Watson are still to return that could be his spot.

f**king hell hughes, that was stupid.

Reasonable win especially from a bowling point of view (- Starc). Batting looks alot better than it was given the catches put down by the kiwi's. Bring on Hobart

Marsh has a test century and was in good touch so he should in reality get his spot once he returns. Watson I agree but I don't think Warner is a test opener long term either. He can be a success at test level but at 6 or 7 he would be devastating. He could take the game away from the opposition.

Well I reckon Lyon, Patterson and Cummins have shown enough to be persisted with.

Usman as well.

I can't wait till Hazelwood is ready to go, with Cummins, Pattinson and Hazelwood we have an awesome pace bowling attack.

Will Watson or Marsh be back?

Surely if so Hughes is the first to go, or both Hughes and Warner?

Sad thing for us is we have little choice, and the guys that let us down most - Taylor, Ryder, McCullum are certs
