It's a good tactic if the right armers bowl around the wicketand swing onto middle and off, forcing him to step across the line so as to play square.

Smith will try to leg glance a pitched up ball more often than he'll attempt to drive it.

Right armers over the wicket just make it easy for him to get it away though.

It has been overdone, Hilfy bowled a good nut on a good length and beat him all ends up. Thats the line and length they should be targeting more.

I agree that its been overdone. It stops being a tactic when it is the only ball being bowled. every second ball to him should be different, on average.

Gotta mix it up. Aussie quicks are handed a gift with Smith who is not good playing straight bat shots, they've not capitalised on that at all.

The field placement isn't really pressuring him either. It just tells him that the same ball will be bowled again, and it is.
