1st Test: Australia v West Indies at Hobart on Dec 10-14, 2015

Bird should be ahead of NCN and Siddle.

Can't believe he is behind both of them.

Siddle is utter shit and should not have played in the last test.

His last 20 test wickets have come at an average barely under 40.

Siddle had the perfect opportunity to stand up and be counted with the pink ball when Starc went down and he still did nothing with a pitch that offered something for the bowler.

and he also did nothing against an under strength WACA team the week before but that was good enough to get a game for Australia, where he also did jackshit

you have to wonder why he got selected on the back of no wickets in an innings in a shield game, wtf did they expect him to do

retiring after the MCG test?

Wouldn't be in the side if Notch and Starc were still around I guess, but I reckon selectors are playing the "experience" card in picking him, but at the same time have told him the MCG test (his home ground) will be his last. This is the only reason why they are picking him I reckon, playing the pitifull WI, crowds will be down, but maybe the Victorians will come in numbers to see Siddle off?

After all its not like we have been playing India or SA this summer, we can afford to carry a bowler or two (as proven in Adelaide with Starc out of action 2nd innings and Siddle not doing much)

Am expecting Bird to get a call up soon

He's 17 runs shy of becoming the 35th player in test history (and 8th Australian) to reach 100 runs/200 wickets).

It'd be typical of Siddle to score 16 runs, just short of what he needed (sums up his bowling career)

More about the conditions though, Adelaide was a pretty helpful deck, so nobody was going to have to bowl huge overs - you lose Starc on the less helpful WACA or GABA pitches and there's trouble

That said, the Windies won't put up much resistance - good chance for the Marshes, Siddle, and other relative numpties to secure their long-term future

This summer should have been dubbed the "padding-their-stats summer of cricket"

Sids isn't up to test standard anymore. He reminds me of that kid when you're playing under 11s that gets a game because he tries hard and there's no one else to pick.

A fair analogy on siddle trys 110% does everything he is told sans wickets..probably lets the coach know what the boys where saying on the field etc etc

Good bloke just old and shit

Marsh's already secured some tests following the 3rd Adelaide test against you lot

We lose 2-0 if we were playing SA. Macca's batting and captaincy was woeful putting it nicely.

Can't see Siddle retiring anytime soon, judging from his talk I reckon he will hang in for dear life as long as possible. It's the attitude you want from all your players I guess, but we are gonna need Patto, Haze and Starc to stay fit to keep him out for a few years yet.

He (Marsh) batted ok - despite the love from Brayshaw the younger one looks ordinary - ok bowler, but if you want a bowler you must have better

Yep, Baz was awful - but from day 2 at the WACA on, we were well in it

Good, another day of "Marsh is the best looking batsman on the planet" ... counts for shit if you don't get runs.

6.9RR after nine overs.

Off to a flyer, already thinking that this should have been broadcast on Pornhub.

Oh dear....this ain't looking good for the West Indies. Australia already 0/62 off the first 9 overs.

When the Big Bash starts, I wonder how long before guys like Ambrose and Walsh on the coaching staff say "Ah, stuff these guys. I'm off to watch the Big Bash"? They've gone from the penthouse - being paid good money to play in Warne/Tendulkar's All-Star series in America - to the craphouse (watching their bowlers dish up absolute tripe)

Such a shame the Windies are a complete shadow of the team they were when I first watched them out in a test series here in 1996/97.

Leave for work at 7:45 and the score is 0/8. Arrive at work 35 mins later and the score is 0/66

Real close series coming up, only chance this has of lasting beyond the 3rd day is if we bat for 2 days.
