Plunkett is now a better bowler than he was since his last test. He is a lot more quicker more consitent and can produce the odd unplayable ball.
Whether he can take his game up to test level remains a mystery.

Not being on fox sports is a bit up setting as we can't lol at England

Instead we get stuck with NZ v WI snooze fest

He won't strike fear in to any batting line up thou,It reminds me of when we picked copeland. The Engalnd bowling line up will really be relying on Anderson and Broad to take a bag of wickets especially with Alli as the spinner.

Annoying that this isn't on Fox. Can't remember the last time they didn't show an England series.

Yeah I think he is just a stop gap till Finn gets his mojo back.

Plus I think the poms are hoping Ali can nail down a spot inside the top 6 and then they can play Stokes at 7 or 8.

Logistically they should show the poms v SL tests as they start at 8pm AEST

The WI V NZ test starts at 1am AEST daily

I don't blame Foxtel at all.

ECB gave Channel 9 exclusivity for the 2015/2019 Ashes. Foxtel are rightly telling them to go f**k themselves.

And no doubt some fox subscribers are gonna be telling foxtel to go f**k themselves as well

I thought the idea of getting foxtel is to watch sports that cant be watched on free to air, and also live overseas internationals

Foxtel is a business, and clearly feel they can weather not having England Sri Lanka. For 14 years prior, ECB never gave C9 exclusivity, and Foxtel could air it aswell. Now they give C9 sole rights, Fox decides not to buy England Sri Lanka. I dont think its a coincidence.

Surely 7mate or one of the subsidiary channels of FTAs would jump on it, youd think. In the end I dont think Fox will suffer too much. They can afford to take a little dig.

Yeah but the thing is people signup to foxtel not just to see Australia

why would someone like 7mate have any interest in non Australian sides?

Doubt they are gonna go cold on the End v Ind series, are they?

Maybe they just feel the SL Eng series wont rate?

Robson, ha. That's what happens to Aussies who play for England. Traitor.

Can't believe Fox aren't covering this.

Watching it online. Good first session so far. A little bit in the pitch for the steamers early but the sun is out so the pitch should flatten out after lunch.

Good knock by Root and ably supported by Bell and Ali.
Prior is back in the runs after a few missed chances and close calls.
I see Cook failed again.
Will England finally crack 400 runs?
