wow....
I just tuned in for the first time since the lunch break (when India were 3/70) and couldn't believe the score is now 9/101. Nice to see O'Keefe giving it to Warne, by wreaking havoc with a 5 wicket haul.
Would not be at all surprised if Australia collapse in a heap
Even if Australia can take the last wicket cheaply, the test match is far from over. Australia have been notorious for their infamous '3rd innings collapses' (e.g. Barbados 1999, Adelaide 2003 etc.), and the most notable one was Cape Town 2011, where we started our 2nd innings with an 188 run lead only to lose the game after being skittled for 47.
On this rank-turner of a pitch, such as the one in Mumbai 2004, it is very possible we could get rolled for another sub-100 total if the batsmen are too overconfident and not careful, which slightly opens the door for India.
Australia need to bat well in this 2nd dig to put the result beyond doubt, and as I said yesterday, a fifty could well and truly be a match-winning inning. Renshaw's 68, as well as that 55 run last wicket partnership (and Starc's late flourish of runs) could end up being vital in the final outcome.
