As a coach of kids - and they all want to reverse ramp hand stand for six - Renshaw is a godsend. I get giddy seeing a bloke defend, leave and punish the bad ball. But patience...and leave, leave, leave.

The cricket gods haven't smiled on Australia much lately, but they surely did when our selectors decided to purge the team and in that corresponding Shield round Renshaw scored big. Of course they had to balance that good fortune by picking Wade as well, but silver linings.
