I wouldn't say India are the best in the world Tommy, but they are certainly the best at playing in India.

We haven't lost here in 13 years, they have a long way to go to catch us.
Im not interested in what happened 13 years ago. I dont judge the worlds best team based on blocks of 13 years.

Fact is India didn't just beat Australia they brutally annihaliated them like Australia used to do to others. And in the 8 test matches they had (Indias tour to Aus and Aus tour to India) India won 3-2. And India performed a hell of a lot better in Aus that Australia did in India so atm i believe India are the worlds best.

seems that Tendulker's innings has slipped under the radar

that was a pretty damn good innings from the little master, one of his best

yeah, it does a little

There are some who still doubted
1. whether he performed in big situations
2. whether he is past it

Hopefully he's laid that to rest, this innings is right up there - 4th innings chasing a record total

how have India performed better here if they haven't won a series here in recent times yet we won over there a couple of years ago?

I still think we have to be beaten in a home series not to be no1 anymore, but we have slipped back to the pack big time.

Clearly i was referring to the two most recent tours. India to Australia and Australia to India.

They're the only relevant ones because on Australias tour to India in 2004 they had Warne, McGrath, Gilly etc which was an unbelieveable team. So i disregard that because the current Australian team with Mitch Johnson, Watson, Haddin, no spinner etc is not even close.

So when i say India are the best test side in the world right now im basing that on current form.

BAHAHA

WTF?

you disregard it?

you can't disregard history

does that mean i can disregard the entire windies legacy of the 70's, 80's and early 90's?

you're full of sh*t you can't disregard the fact we've beaten them at home and they haven't beaten us here

I like tommy smiths theory

Tigers won the comp in 2005, eels didnt lose to them both home and away, so therefore using tommy logic the eels were the best side in 2005

works for me :sarcasm:

It`s hard to call really. The top 3 teams of India, Aussie and SA are all winning at home these days, so it`s pretty even. India did very well on their last tour to Aussie, except they didn`t turn up for the first test.

FMD you two are incoherent, inane dribblers.

The Windies aren't still the best team in the world because they were unbeatable in the 80s. That era of dominance has gone. And so has Australia's.
