Taylor retired hurt due to a lower leg injury... NZ still going well at 2/150 otherwise (not including Taylor departing the field)

Nicholls is a turd, nearly runs Williamson out and then delivers his usual

Taylor being hurt is a worry but good day for us

Good day for NZ. Would love to see Williamson get a big score here- it's been a while (Bangladesh and Zimbabwe aside). His 2015 was much better than his 2016.

I get that Hesson loves to persist with players in our test unit who are out of sorts, but have any of them ever turned it around? The examples I can think of are Fulton, Guptill, and now Nicholls.

Williamson's wicket (and the ability of Waitling and Santner to hang around with him) is now going to be the difference between a decent score and 250 odd.

Just saw the Neesham decision. FFS Rod Tucker. Another dud Australian umpire

A no ball?

Why the f**k can't Australia produce competent umpires? The lbw review in the first innings was ridiculous too, unless he's seeing different pictures to what is on TV

The Taylor injury is bad news.

Not only do we lose Taylor but it guarantees Nicholls remains.

It's like getting dick punched right after being kicked in the balls.

And congrats KW. It's not exactly a Bangladesh century, but flat track bullying your way to 100 against these minnows still counts on the stat sheet.

Yep - and now triply important that we win this test - we rely so heavily on Williamson,. Taylor, Boult and Wagner it's not funny

Hope they resist the temptation to bring in Guptill for #4, someone in the Herald said Broom and Munro were the two options - OMG I hope they're not considering Munro

Broom or Brownlie would be my choice (have them both other Nicholls in a heartbeat) - unless they think de Grandhomme is up to it (which I don't)
