Any match where Pakistan collapse or lose is going to be tainted with suspicion. I choose not to go there.

You can criticise the Pakistani top order, but when Asad Shafiq left the crease at 4-130, a Pakistani victory was virtually assured. Just sensational stuff from Patel and Wagner after lunch.

On Wagner, that exact scenario is where you get Wagner at his best.

It says something uncomplimentary about society, that the theatre of Test cricket is largely ignored for the carnival of T20. We are basically a society of morons.

The best part was Micky Arthurs dumbfounded face after the loss. It was a mixture of shock, disgust and that face you make when the waiter brings you your steak but it mysteriously smells like wet dog.

One of the three best finishes I’ve seen. Nz v Australia at Hobart. And West Indies v Australia at Adelaide. What a finish.

Worth reminiscing about some of these.

I remember 1993 well, as I was just getting into cricket at the time and the WI were still fierce. I thought Tim May was going to pull it out of the bad that day.

The other matches that I think are worth throwing in the conversation is Edgbaston 2005 and Australia v India in Sydney 2008

They couldn't get Australia into a winnable position lol - but there were good odds on the draw in the first test...

I'm not buying the bookie crap, collapses left right and centre, and both teams have shit lower orders, so while I didn't see us winning it was always going to get interesting if we got to their tail... and as I said elsewhere, we're pretty limited but we'll keep battling and put up as much of a fight as we can

That's not to say that I believe anything untoward happened, but for many that will be the first thought, in humour or otherwise.

Personally I think Pakistan have a leadership issuse. Sarfraz is a tosser and a hypocrite. He's a poor leader IMO and I think poor leadership is easily shown up in pressure situations like this.

A scenario like that seems unlikely in a world where 'spot fixing' is easier and more lucrative and the risks of being suspended or worse are so real
