the other thing is with the retirement of tendulkar the dinosaur, it might have liberated or whipped those lazy young overpaid IPL brats into action to make their own legacy, not live in Tendulkar's shadow, not have Sachin be a shield to take all the punches when he was there

Kohli and Pujara certainly have the game to back up all that big talk.
Not convinced about the rest especially Dhawan and Sharma who so far appear to be flat track bullies.

If SA can go till tea without loss, knock over 90-100, then they will need around 100-110 in the last session 6 wickets left

they can still win it, pends a lot in this session

Very much so, partnership has lasted 25 overs already and there is 50 left in the day.
If SA bat through the day they'll probably get all the runs.

Much easier said than done though, still about 80/20 in favour of India.

Theres still 47 or so odd overs to go

and south africa trail by 186 or thereabouts

Granted its a day 5 pitch

But while Faf Duplessis is there, South Africa can still bat out the draw

Faf is stone walling, AB is equally dangerous as he is the one keeping the score moving along.
Break this partnership in the next 10/20 overs and its pretty close to game over, I don't see Duminy getting them home from that far out.

6 in hand, 154 to get in 39 overs at a rate of 4.

Love to see these two still there in an hour or so.

Brilliant chase this.

127 with 6 in hand, it seems fairly doable now. But they'll need to go along at 4.2 an over, so they'll want to be careful not to come unstuck trying to up the rate. Might need to go back to pure stonewalling if a couple go down early in the session.

Will get very fricken interesting either way.

There's been some excellent leaving in this partnership. Faf's technique in these situations is awesome. Play at nothing outside off. Get everything in behind the ball when it might hit the stumps, with soft hands and a straight bat, and dead bat it.

Every. Single. Ball. No exceptions.

I imagine the plan would be 32 overs off the next 10 without losing a wicket...leaving 60 off the last 10.
