theres a myth going on in australia saying they need 2 days to recover from nye

they should not be allowed to go out and celebrate NYE. But the reason South Africa can play today is because there was no boxing day test

and the reason australia could play the west indies in a one dayer in 1996 on new years day was because there was a boxing day test

go figure!

pretty sure the rules about the scheduling of international fixtures were different back then. And even today they only need one day rest between ODIs

he didn't have a great debut, but the selectors know why they chose him and he does deserve a shot as he is a talent

He is a midget, not a chanceon earth of being successful, bowl a bouncer or 4...he'll be gone in 2 overs:lol:

Elgar is much better than Quiney, he is young and has been a consistent first class performer since his first class debut. If he gets to bat in this match, he should do quite well
