How'd Hughes look during his briefish knock? I wonder if he is going to amount to anything special in the Test arena or not.

Got a corker of a delivery, extra sharp bounce, short of a length. Hopefully gets a few tests in a row to build into a solid opener

we are looking good for 300 plus

copeland has a 1st class 50, so he can bat for a while with Huss

Huss appears to be caught on the rope to end it. Disappointing first inning, hope the bowlers fire up.

EDIT: Welegedara stepped on the rope, 6 runs to Huss.

I thought that was a great catch, but it came to nothing.
Siddle finally put to good use though.

We did well to get to 273 considering we were at 5/181 at one stage.

Without seeing the test match I can't know for sure but Hughes, Watson, Punter and Clark all got out when they looked set and comfortable. This might be the type of wicket which you are never set. Copeland and Harris are two bowlers that can trouble because they are wicket to wicket type bowler and Copeland will get inconsistent bounce while Harris will skid it through and get a lot of balls staying low.

273 could be a pretty competitive total IMO.
