2 right arm offies and a left arm office part timer ?

if its a dust bowl, we need a bit of variation in our attack, unfortunately, the K man is the only other option, our spinning stocks are pretty ordinary, so jealous of our ladies' team with 2 wrist spinners

I personally wouldn't pick Connolly just yet but otherwise variation doesn't just need to be the way the ball spins.

Esp when the BOAT barely turns it anyway.

I don't reckon Kuhnemann is much chop and he's going to be a liability in the field with a f**ken bone sticking out his thumb so unless it's somehow a three spinner deck, it's BOAT and Murderous Murphy for mine.

Tomorrows the day.

I'm quite keen to see which direction they go.

Any debuts, which spin options they go with, what opening pair they utilize. Does McSweeney get a crack

For the first time in a long time, I feel I can't predict the team confidently (usually can pick 9/10)

I agree with all that and I think Connolly will just be a net bowler on this trip but the selectors letting him know they're watching him.

I used to get sick of hearing how they couldn't play Warne and McGilla in the same team so they picked Tim May/Funky Miller and similar ordinary offies. McGilla and Warnie both spun the ball the same way but very different bowlers and were easily the best 2 spinners in the country at the time.

Why not leave special K at home to play shield instead? 4 games guaranteed and potentially 5 if NSW make the final.

Maybe they use him in the second test but I'm not sure how this is helping with his development.

No biggie

Plenty of time to come back and play three shield games and potentially the Final

Good experience for him to be on his first tour with the big boys, is probably the concussion sub, and could play the 2nd test?

All good

Its like theyre protecting Konstas. Its like their not sure if he'll handle the sub continent as an opener, so they take the easy option in dropping in. Yeah because that will help his confidence.

We hearing different rumours, could be Inglis, Connolly or Abbott, who knows.

He has an issue facing spin and we saw a bit of that when he was playing India. A trip to the sub continent is an ideal place to learn when you are young.

It just seems odd to pick him and then not play him, at his age he should at least be playing shield cricket, not drink waiter.

If they wanted to protect him, surely they wouldn't have debuted him against Bumrah? It's one hell of a debut match up.

I'd be surprised if Kuhnemann plays this game, seems its too soon.

I think this is what we'll see

Khawaja
Head
Labuschagne
Smith
McSweeney or Inglis
Webster
Carey
Starc
Murphy
Lyon
Abbott

We had a big series v India, we might be a bit flat this series

Id take a 1-1 series result to retain the Warne-Murali Trophy
