You can't blame people for bailing out on merged teams.

It's just not the same.

There's a difference between bailing on a merged team and bailing on a merged team after more than a decade, coincidentally at the same time that they're going like busteds.

What's a decade when you've been following them for over forty years - where the highlights were winning a midweek and preseason comp and winning one semi-final.

Heck I've even lol@Souths myself.

Exactly right, if you've been a true long term fan you'd know that lol@souths is not only pretty accurate, but it's almost a badge of honour for us fans for having to put up with It For So Long.

OK we all know Alien is a shit merkin turncoat.

Now back to the orignal topic. This article is from this arvo

The South Sydney Rabbitohs can confirm that the health status of its players, Dylan Walker and Aaron Gray, remains good.

The young men have now been moved from the Intensive Care Unit into a private ward.

Doctors still have a series of protocols and tests that need to be worked through before a decision can be made on when the young men will be permitted to leave hospital.

Rabbitohs CEO John Lee said: "The families of both players have thanked everyone who has offered their well wishes and support over the past few days.

"They have also thanked the media for the respect and privacy that has been shown to them and the boys.

"There will be an appropriate time to debrief on what has happened in this situation, but at the moment our focus remains on the wellbeing of the young men."

Rabbitohs Head Coach Michael Maguire added: "All of our efforts and thoughts at the moment are with Dylan, Aaron and their families.

"I’ve made a few visits to see the boys over the past few days and it’s really reinforced the significance of family, and how important their parents are to them in their lives.

"I’ve spoken to their team mates and they have all offered their support to the Walker and Gray families during what is a difficult time for them.

"We look forward to the continued improvement in their health.".

Lol@souths can be funny and cathartic at times. Muzby's pics used to.make lol so hard. And whilst I am a merkin I would never walk from my team even though I've lost the plot plenty of times.

I can also say the wait was worth it at the gf last year. Thirty years! The euphoria was amazing. I can only hope sharks and Cowboys fans taste it sooner rather than later. Those after parties will be amazing.

Edit: I hope the lads get well soon too.

Everyone eager to kick Souths because of this, well the hero in the story is a Souths junior who saved their lives. Nothing is ever black and white.

And abuse of prescription medication should be seen as the health issue that it is, not as a criminal issue that needs punishing.

I thought it was an accident?

Most people probably think it's not too bad (except for their health) & not a criminal issue but when the likes of you get on here talking crap, you absolutely fuel the fire.

I used to work for a Pharma agency and one of the problems facing doctors was that their patients (mainly pensioners) were filling out their prescriptions and on-selling their oxy to junkies.

Souths trying to spin this as a positive media story by stating they'll lead the charge on cracking down of prescription drug abuse. Says it all really.

Unless they are an elephant, how is it even possible to take 50 valium tablets in a day?

More embarrassing 'journalism' by the telegraph.
