DolphinsI'm still laughing because it's complete horeshit.
You are easily impressed by bold talk with no action.
God I love this forum
the idiots who say the nrl is too insular and afraid to make bold moves are the same ones bagging the push into America
you can’t make this up
Not you but some of these so called expansionists don’t seem confident in us showcasing the gameI think the argument is that you are conflating taking a double header to the States (which is an exciting thing by the way) with them actually succeeding in securing talent from the States. They are two entirely different things
I’m much in favour of these two games in America - I’d actually aim for further and take a whole round overseas - but I don’t think you are likely to get a whole bunch of NFL dropouts etc to convert to the NRL.

it’s also about getting a share of the American gambling market
he’s done this for horse racing vlandys has already and will further raise gambling revenue
they want ten to twenty million pa from the us market
and if the poms didn’t kill off Toronto you had ny ready for a rugby league club plus ottowa
Singapore lolOf course that is what it is about. Hopefully get an audience for it as well
The end game should be getting a whole global round and drumming up interest in certain markets. Two or three games in Asia, Europe and North America respectively would be awesome.
I honestly think that a double header in Vegas if you make it a annual fixture would be as far as I'd go.Of course that is what it is about. Hopefully get an audience for it as well

Souths vs Leads in Jaxonville hot 12kPlaying in front of 10k expats and some disinterested Yanks is going to be great for the game.
It could be worse he could be off to a junket in Perth to discuss expansion.Lol, he’s off on another American junket, probably to try and tie up some nsw racing betting deals.
Yeh visionary. Remember when he and Abdo went over there to talk to streaming companies then Signed the shttest deal ever with fox?
a one off game in Vegas is sure to get American kids flocking to play rugba league, afl and China springs to mind Lol.
Nice post. He’s definitely a fumbler fan. And a massive whinger. It could be worse he could be off to a junket in Perth to discuss expansion.
When the SOO was played in Perth, how many kids flocked to rugby league as a result ,where they at least have the code?
The former leaders of the NRL have done very little in flogging the game to the biggest sporting market in the world.
Oh and rugby league us a damn side closer to understand for NFL fans than your boot licking fumble ball.
But do go on the acid flowing from your keyboard would power tens of thousands of electric car batteries. You can't handle innovation.
Haha your tongue is so far up Vlandys arse You can tickle his tonsils. another one off event in usa will do absolutely f**k all to grow the game there. We rightly mocked afl for doing exactly this in China. Are you on dope or something? What are you talking about?
Lol this and lol that. Did you just discover lol?
It's a legitimate probability of happening and a gread idea in what I understand is 1 of the best stadiums in the world. Las vagas is an international city, having an event there gives the game added prestige.
And where did anyone claim kids in America will pick up the sport because of the fixture?..
The idea was to bring over some athletes who miss out through their systems. This is one of many small steps to create that awareness.
All journeys are started with 1 step.
If Perth has a double header = the game is on fire in Perth and we are going to get our own team.
Taking a double header to the states = the dumbest idea ever lol lol
Your contradictions no no bounds.
You're against the idea of Rugby league growing anywhere except Perth.
I see now what the game is up against in the north of England
Haha yeh it’s not like we’ve done these half arsed one off games in America before is it?It could be worse he could be off to a junket in Perth to discuss expansion.

You can't handle innovation. With you in charge we still be running around in horse and carts.
The one off game is to create awareness ,Fox is hardly small bikkies on sport. It is to obtain a slice of the huge betting market (leaving ours in their dust)that operates in that country. And being beamed back here secure massive ratings for the NRL, and perhaps pique the interest of players who missed out on the NFL draft.
But no your keyboard is powered by lemon juice and it shows in very post.
Because one off games do f**k all. Now if the nrl actually had a strategy for growing interest in rugby league in America then I’d be applauding them. Taking a game every ten years or so does sweet fanny adams. Not you but some of these so called expansionists don’t seem confident in us showcasing the game

we’ve seen what poms did to Toronto ottowa and nycBecause one off games do f**k all. Now if the nrl actually had a strategy for growing interest in rugby league in America then I’d be applauding them. Taking a game every ten years or so does sweet fanny adams.
TBF, the NRL has neither the resources nor connections to crack the US market in any significant way, and no business plan or marketing strategy is going to change that. Even just building a sustainable niche audience (by US standards) would be an expensive long term project that'd undoubtedly face multiple, very expensive, set backs.Because one off games do f**k all. Now if the nrl actually had a strategy for growing interest in rugby league in America then I’d be applauding them. Taking a game every ten years or so does sweet fanny adams.
AFL.. has 0 in common with Rugby league.Haha your tongue is so far up Vlandys arse You can tickle his tonsils. another one off event in usa will do absolutely f**k all to grow the game there. We rightly mocked afl for doing exactly this in China.
