Parramatta, as far away from the 8 as possible to wipe that smug expression off Fizty ugly head!

1 Cowboys - Great squad, just look primed to go even further next year
2 Bulldogs - Ditto, loss of Price will hurt initially though
3 Dragons - One day maybe they'll realise how good they could be
4 Storm - I think some of their buys are better than made out, Scott, Feeney for mine are solid players working in front of a very talented backline
5 Roosters - They'll be there or there abouts in my opinion, but will start a little hesitantly as they look to find themselves without Freddy
6 Warriors - Its not just Price and Wiki, Campo and Cleary have got the whips out and there is no way known to man the Warriors will be as unfit next year as they were this year
7 Broncos - Some players may tire as the season goes on, notably Webcke and Petrols 75centsalitre post the Kangaroos tour
8 Panthers - Roberts try scoring ability got them through a bit this year, Whatuira is a better player than Franze, Lang was a powerhouse up front. Hard to replace.
9 Eels - Great additions to their squad, could finish higher, but just look a little inexperienced to start off with around the halves
10 Sea Eagles - Bought reasonably, Kite will be a good buy, Kennedy is hit and miss
11 Knights - Lost Kennedy, Tahu and O'Davis, I think they're big blows, especially if either Buderus or Johns goes down
12 Tigers - Look weaker than this year, Sattler's absence will be felt, as will Senters. Got the dud buy of the NRL in Matt Jobson. Seem to be pinning a lot of faith in an unproven Souths reggie in Mark Meredith. That worries me.
13 Rabbitohs - Slight improvement, Cusack and Heggarty will compliment their squad well, Stringer though is a big blow when on form
14 Sharks - Hopeless, additions are weak, just straight out hopeless
15 Raiders - Ditto the above, lost more than they've gained, badly lack direction at halfback, verrrrrry badly, without a doubt the worst half in the comp.

Continue to tip against the raiders at your own peril...

Moreso at the TAB's peril.

There's two things in life for certain; death

and the Raiders will finish outside the top 8 in 2005 and more than likely run last.

If Johns is there, the Knights will always be a premiership threat.

If he isn't then we won't be. Plain and simple.

We also need players like Simpson, Abraham, Reynoldson, Woolnough, Newton and Perry  to stand up and have a relatively injury free year.

My old man said to bet the mortgage on Mayki BeDiva, I'd rather bet it on the Raiders finishing outside the top 8, and a bit of cash on them finishing 15th. No chance of success.

1 Bulldogs - unfortunatly
2 Dragons - mega machine, it has take 5 years but they are starting to get into it!
3 Roosters - will fail to hit top gear
4 Broncos - they will do it again, and maybe challenge for 3rd
5 Penrith - Go good, but just be tipped
6 Tigers - people underestimate the team. Sharpest back line in the comp, but a bit soft up front
7 Cowboys - yeah, go good again
8 Melbourne - lost some good guys and i think their peak may be dipping
9 Newcastle - nah, they are entering "that stage"
10 Parramatta - new recruits wont do much
11 Manly - will shine in '06
12 Warriors - improved games, but still not getting it right
13 Souths - will pick it up, their stars will shine this year and maybe go for 10th!
14 Sharks - loosing it
15 Canberra - they lost alot and gained nothing. Withers is not a 1/2

personally, i'm with my fellow raiders fans on this one. i'd much rather people be putting the raiders at the bottom of their predictions than up the top. expectations are unwanted in the nations capital.

this smells distinctly like the talk of two years ago. another 2003esque season coming up for the raiders in 05, me thinks.

Wheather we make the 8 or not, I don't know, but I know for a fact that there is no way we will finish last. That's a pathetic prediction.

Where have i stated anything bold about our season ;-) On paper ur team looks worse then souths. Canberra are been tipped very heavily for the spoon. At least we have a quality player to go down. Oh shit chalks hurt, we'll just replace him with buggarelli

My hot tip, Dragons will win the comp. Next year Barrett will be injury free and show all the nay-sayers what a good player he is and that he is every bit as good as mundane and him n Head will fire in the halves, sparking a win for the red vee.
And before you ask, i dislike the Dragons, just like the Illawarra juniors in the team ;-)
