Newcastle have a lot of depth nxt season and depending on injuries this team could go a long way.

2006 side
1. Milton Thaiday
2. Brian Carney
3. Matthew Gidley
4. George Carmont
5. Anthony Quinn
6. Kurt Gidley
7. Andrew Johns
8. Josh Perry
9. Danny Buderus
10. Craig Smith
11. Steve Simpson
12. Clint Newton
13. Daniel Abraham

14. Reegan Tanner/ Kade Snowden
15. Kirk Reynoldson
16. Adam Woolnough/ Luke Davico/ Daniel Tolar
17. Brad Tighe/ David Seage/ Dustin Cooper/ Mullen

I think if Newcastle don't have too many injuries they could make the top 4.

Even with a few injuries, a few of the younger blokes have FG experience and will be able to fill in for some positions and we wouldnt be too bad off

That's a good looking side Daza_06.

I'm hoping that Carmont can carry some of his (very) late season form into the 2006 season.

Not only our FG side, but imagine how much PL will benefit from us having the depth that we do now :).

I would like it if we see Tighe in the starting line-up because we saw this year how destructivew he can be running off Johns on the fringes. So that would mean this backline:

1. Thaiday
2. Carney
3. Gidley
4. Tighe
5. Carmont

The halves are basically settle already and Mullen will have another year in Premier League before stepping up in 2007.

6. K.Gidley
7. Johns

Our forward pack next year i looking really strong with a number of players that have really developed this year and can easily slot into the side anytime during the season next year. Not only that but we have a host of yougner players that will be pushing for a spot on the back end of the season, ie. Brown and Snowden. So this i what our forward pack and bench would look like for Round 1 2006:

8. Perry
9. Buderus
10. Smith
11. Newton
12. Simpson
13. Reynoldson

14. Abraham
15. Woolnough
16. Davico
17. Cooper

Abraham is on the bench because he hasn't played much football this year and would only get the two or three games at the pre-season trials and still has to adapt to the speed of the game. Cooper will be our fix-it man if any injuries occur during the game because he can basically slot into anywhere on the field bar prop, halfback and hooker.

agree with everything except Carmont on the wing. He just doesn't know how to defend on the wing. He and Brad Tighe will be battaling it out for the #4 jersey

LOL...he doesn't know how to defend in the centres either yet he gets picked week after week...

Basically agree with whats been written besides Abes on the bench - he's twice the player Reynoldsen is, and given none of them would have played since the end of August by the time the season starts next year, I don't see that as an issue. If he is 100% fit, then he should be in the starting squad.

I was thinking the exact same thing RE our Premmy League side next year provided we can stay relatively injury free  I think next year really does shape up as a very good year for us. On the subject of Abraham on the bench and Reynoldson in the starting lineup ..................... WTF

you just picked the same side as me. that is one the stupidist comments i have ever seen. The bench is important, why would Sonny Bill Williams be on the interchange bench. Stupid comment

also the bench is sooooo important, come on i know that both para and dragons are out but i believe one of the reasons they did so well was because they both had great benches!!

As i have said before.. On the NRL website, it is said that Cooper's "preferred position" is prop...

Quinn will get dropped to make room for Carney and Thaiday and Carney will switch wings.
