Another highlight for me was attending heaps of concerts, Muse and Snow Patrol in particular, and becoming a Chaser fan :D

Lowlight... The OC ending :(

2007 was a year of drastic change for me.

I started out the year living at home with my folks and commuting into Glen Innes every day to work at Bi-Lo. While it was nice being at home and they certainly had me set up for comfort (Foxtel in my room ftw), I needed a social life.

Moved into town with my mate early in the year and that made life a bit more livable. Lots of WoW (Burning Crusade is the shit!), lots of A-League while I rode my exercise bike, and boozy Friday nights at the RSL.

My year turned on its head when a mate's brother asked if I'd like a job in Korea.

I'll admit, I was utterly terrified about the idea of moving there. My good friend Penny and my mother both kept on me about it though, and I got here in November.

I'm still missing home and Christmas was hard, but I've so far enjoyed the experience. I haven't made a lot of friends here yet and I don't know if there's much of a foreign community, but I'm going to try and stick it out.

2007 huh? Quit my job so I could get my hsc, then quit my hsc because I remembered i hate that shit. Started getting the carers pension for mum who was at deaths door. Moved into a shared house with my friends that kicked off the worst bout of depression of my life. Lost a finger.

All in all a pretty shit year.

2007 was awesome.

in order:

- bought my first brand new car (MPS mazda.. so much fun :) )
- moved in with the mrs
- bought my second place
- proposed to the mrs
- got promoted at work
- finished the year with a great road trip holiday.

odd-numbered years tend to be pretty good ones, i've found..

 No. I just wrote it from vague recollections.

2007 was a huge year for me. If it weren't for 2007, I could very well be dead now.

Oh right, it was some of the tense that threw me off.

I like how it's written from the point of view of 2007 Misanthrope.

 That's what I was going for.

I had to really think hard to remember if I was happy in South Korea at that point, and I recall that I wasn't that happy. I'd yet to make friends and start dating, so all I did was work and hang out with a Mormon.
