Anyone can admit 24k for a one team city supposedly into the footy is pretty poor.
I've already conceded it was disappointing. I wouldn't say poor, I'd say about what I expected.

Because you're there, making the grandiose claims about likely crowds, setting yourself up as a target. It's almost my obligation to shoot you down.

as Timmah said, i played my part in a big way this weekend. I attended Parra v Tigers on FN and Doggies v Titans today.
Good for you. My only regret is that you have only one life to offer in support of Rugby League.

Can you just admit the Sydney crowds were good this weekend...
Yes I can, in part, and I already have. The crowds at Parra and Shark Park were good. The other two? One was not good, the other was poor.

...a team in Perth or Adelaide would draw more wouldn't it??
Probably not, but they would increase our bargaining power in the TV negotiations. But I digress. This is not a relocation/expansion argument, merely a heartland debate.

Bash Melbourne, they brang 12k today despite having a match between 2 unbeaten teams. Sydney bettered that figure in 3 out of 4 matches.
And I'd bloody well hope so too. After all, it is the "heartland" you're talking about.

I expect to see you on here at about 10pm good friday to "bash" the crowd between Souths v Dogs.
I'd love nothing more than to see 40000 there on Friday night and I will be here to congratulate one and all if you can manage it. I just don't think it will happen. 25K will be encouraging, 30K will be a great result IMO.
Last point. Do you mind if I don't come in until about 11.30 on Friday? We'll get your game second up here. I've got to sit through the Drongos/Rorters first.
