We'd have to sign someone for that to happen.

Although we have:
Paul Aiton - Hooker/Lock. IMO, he'd make an excellent 5/8 also.
Craig Trindall - Halfback/Five-Eight. He's 27 years old. He'd make a solid 5/8 though IMO... and what he lacks in attack, he easily makes up for in defence.

I'd say those 2 guys are the most likely candidates. One is old, the other is a hooker. Although IMO, both could do the job quiet nicely with Gower working with them. I'm all for Paul Aiton being our 5/8 though. It's a must.

It is a possibility, with Jennings coming into the centres, we will have enough strike out wide to cover for Lewis moving to 5/8.Personally i will keep him in the centres with Jennings to have a really potent centre pairing and giving the first shot at 5/8 to Trindall.

He would be a candidate, but I think Trindall is good enough and deserves to hold down a permanent first grade position, and that would be the best spot for him.

Aiton, however, can be used for his utility off the bench - hooker, five-eighth, even lock.

He's still injured, hasn't played a game this year but the Cowboys re-signed him.
