2007 WWE Draft Coverage on WrestleView.com
June 11, 2007
Wilkes-Barre, Pennslyvania

Hunter Golden will provide a detailed Raw recap later tonight.

- World Heavyweight Champion Edge (Smackdown) defeated WWE Champion John Cena (Raw) via Count Out. Smackdown wins the first pick in the WWE Draft. The Great Khali is the first pick and will now go to Smackdown.

- Jesse Ventura was the first to speak about Mr. McMahon Appreciation Night. Ventura called McMahon a dictator and said he hasn't earned the right to be caled "mister" by him yet.

- Jonathan Coachman officially announced WWE Vengeance as carrying the "Night of Champions" tag. Titles from all three brands will be defended on the PPV. It was also announced that a WWE Championship Challenge would go down at the PPV. The rules state that any former World Champion left on the Raw brand tonight after the Draft will be able to compete for it on June 24.

- CM Punk (ECW) defeated Carlito (Raw) via pinfall after a Go To Sleep. ECW wins the second pick in the WWE Draft. The Boogeyman is the second pick and will now go to ECW.

- Snoop Dogg was the next person to take part in the McMahon Appreciation Night. He called him the biggest asshole in the WWE and thanked him for allowing John Cena and Steve Austin to kick his ass.

- Mick Foley came out and announced that if he wasn't drafted to Smackdown or ECW tonight, he would compete at Vengeance in the WWE Championship Challenge Match being a former World Champion. He also wondered why anyone would want to say something nice about Vince McMahon tonight since he didn't have any real friends.

- Balls Mahoney (ECW) vs. Umaga (Raw) is up now. Umaga defeated Balls Mahoney with a Spike to the Throat. Raw wins the third pick in the WWE Draft. King Booker with Sharmell is the third pick and will now go to Raw.

- Steve-O of Jackass fame was the next to talk about Vince McMahon. He thanked him for the great entertainment from WWE. It was officially announced earlier in a promo for SummerSlam that Jackass would be taking part in the PPV.

- ECW Champion Bobby Lashley (ECW) defeated Chris Benoit (Smackdown) via pinfall after a Dominator in a solid match. ECW wins the fourth pick in the WWE Draft. Chris Benoit is the fourth pick and will now go to ECW. They put over how Smackdown is having a bad night so far losing three stars, but gaining a big one in Great Khali.

- Donald Trump was the next to take part in the Mr. McMahon Appreciation Night. Trump talked about shaving Vince bald at WrestleMania and told him tonight was only about himself and not the fans as usual.

- Ashley was shown via satellite. She took part in the Appreciation Night and said even though Vince McMahon suspended her, she had to thank him for creating the Diva Search. Ashley then brought up how Vince made Trish Stratus disrobe and bark like a dog on all fours in 2001. They showed footage of this and Ashley said she wanted to have some more WWE Divas do this for him once again and two at that. Moolah and Mae Young came out, disrobed and barked like dogs on stage.

- "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka and The Iron Sheik took part in McMahon Appreciation Night. Snuka asked McMahon why he was acting so crazy lately. Speaking of crazy, Sheik started talking about Vince as well who he referred to as Kennedy McMahon the whole time.

- WWE United States Champion MVP (SmackDown) defeated WWE Intercontinental Champion Santino Marella (Raw) via pinfall following The Playmaker. Smackdown wins the fifth pick in the WWE Draft. Torrie Wilson is the fifth pick and will now go to Smackdown.

- Bret "The Hitman" Hart was up next taking part in the McMahon Appreciation Night. He said the best way he can show thanks to Vince McMahon was with two fists and maybe some more. The video was shot in a gym.

- Snitsky (ECW) defeated The Miz (Smackdown) via pinfall after a big boot. After the match, Snitsky continued to attack Miz and the referee reversed the decision so The Miz was now our winner. Smackdown wins the sixth pick in the WWE Draft. Chris Masters is the sixth pick and will go to Smackdown.

- Bobby Heenan was up next taking part in the McMahon Appreciation Night. Heenan said Vince put the most people to work in the wrestling business and also put the most people out of working in wrestling as well.

- "Rowdy" Roddy Piper came out to the arena to take part in McMahon Appreciation Night. Piper introduced a video package showing footage of McMahon being taken advantage of by DX, Steve Austin and getting shaved bald at WrestleMania.

- Mark Cuban gave his comments next for McMahon Appreciation Night. Cuban called McMahon a great business man and that he was living the American Dream.

- Jim Ross plugged that a "supplemental" Draft will take place this Wednesday afternoon at Noon ET on WWE.com.

- Candice Michelle (Raw) defeated Kristal Marshall (Smackdown) via pinfall after a spin kick. Raw wins the seventh pick in the WWE Draft. ECW Champion Bobby Lashley is the seventh pick and will go to Raw. Bobby Lashley came out to celebrate with Jim Ross saying business has just picked up. Jonathan Coachman then came out and announced that since Bobby was no longer part of the ECW brand, he was now stripped of the ECW World Title. The Coach demanded Bobby hand over the ECW Title. Lashley does and grabs the mic from Coach. He said even though he was stripped of the title, he was still a champion and would prove it on Raw.

- Batista (Smackdown) won a Triple Threat Match over Elijah Burke (ECW) and Jeff Hardy (Raw) via pinfall after a Batista Bomb on Burke. Smackdown wins the eighth pick in the WWE Draft. Ric Flair is the eighth pick and will go to Smackdown.

- Captain Lou Albano was the next to take part in McMahon Appreciation Night. Albano talks about knowing Vince since he was a little kid and that he was still a punk.

- Dusty Rhodes was out next in the arena taking part in McMahon Appreciation Night. Rhodes talked about how he had a dream in wrestling and McMahon had a vision. He said you be the judge of how Vince McMahon got to where he is at today. Rhodes said you do not have to love him, like him or agree with his psychology of the industry. He said everyone does have to respect him.

- Mean Gene Okerlund was the next to take part in McMahon Appreciation Night. He talked about being fired by Vince after 10 years of service which led to him making more money in WCW.

- A 15 Man Battle Royal for the final two draft picks is up now involving the following teams:

Smackdown: Matt Hardy, William Regal, WWE Cruiserweight Champion Chavo Guerrero, Mark Henry & Chris Masters.

ECW: Kevin Thorn, Matt Striker, Marcus Cor Von, Tommy Dreamer & The Sandman.

Raw: Johnny Nitro, Kenny Dykstra, Viscera, Eugene & Randy Orton.

Order of Elimination: Matt Striker (ECW), The Sandman (ECW), William Regal (Smackdown), Chavo Guerrero (Smackdown), Tommy Dreamer (ECW), Kevin Thorn (ECW), Viscera (Raw), --commercial break--, Kenny Dykstra (Raw), Eugene (Raw), Marcus Cor Von (ECW), Johnny Nitro (Raw), Chris Masters (Smackdown), Mark Henry (Smackdown) and Matt Hardy (Smackdown).

Winner: Randy Orton (Raw)

- Raw earns the final two draft picks. Snitsky is the ninth draft pick and Mr. Kennedy is the tenth draft pick.

- Stone Cold Steve Austin is next to take part in McMahon Appreciation Night. Austin appreciated that he got to beat up McMahon so many times over the years and said he didn't appreciate anything he did for him ever.

- Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler rundown the card for Vengeance on June 24 so far. Confirmed for the WWE Championship Challenge Match is champion John Cena vs. Mick Foley vs. Randy Orton vs. King Booker vs. Bobby Lashley and Edge defending the World Heavyweight Title against Batista in a Do or Die Match.

- Mr. McMahon is on his way out to the ring. McMahon was about to speak, but the fans booed him loudly. McMahon dropped his mic and left to the backstage area. When he got backstage, the fans cheered. We then saw a backstage shot of McMahon walking between two lines of WWE stars. Jonathan Coachman stopped him and said he was going the wrong way. McMahon turned around, got at the end, turned and gave one last look. We then saw a shot of McMahon walking slowly outside towards his limo. He stopped twice looking behind him and then continued on. McMahon opened his limo door, paused, got in and the limo exploded. No, that isn't a typo. His limo blew up and engulfed in fire. And that is how the show ends.

They well and truly killed Smackdown. They lost real talent and got Ric Flair as their sole consolation. Seems fair

Who did SD lose..Kennedy was eventually going to be on RAW anyway

Booker T..yes but replaceable with Chris Masters

And we could see a Flair WHC reign as well. It is a good time to be a SD fan.

this McMahon thing is ridiculous - WWE.com has all these lame "updates" about how theres no body and firefighters saying its the worst they've seen. Clearly this has killed off the Mr McMahon character hence all the highlight clips throughout the night. Could lead to a whodunnit but if you know wrestlings history in whodunnits - most of them are sh*t.

With the exception of Snitksy...God, he's so sh*t...RAW fared pretty well. Lashley, Kennedy and Booker are awesome, and Khali leaving is a plus. A huge plus.

well Smackdown has Khali now  and lost a lot of its decent talent.

So what. I expected Kennedy to go to RAW anyway, and honestly I like the new Chris Masters' character. And add to that SD has Ric Flair. I am happy with all the trades, and SD has plenty of heels/faces and good legitimated main eventers as well. I hope we see a Flair WHC reign!

How long were you deprived of oxygen as a child? Judging by the crap you spout in here, it caused substantial damage. Smackdown lost Mr. Kennedy, easily their brighest star of the future, and gained Torrie - whose best years as a Diva are behind here. They lost King Booker, an excellent worker and promo cutter, and gained The Great Khali - who is neither.

They lost Chris Benoit, the second best worker in the world, and gained Chris Masters. Masters is enjoyable enough, but not a patch on Booker, Kennedy, or Benoit. Then they get given Ric Flair as a peace offering. With all due respect to Flair, he's not selling PPVs like he did ten to twenty years ago.

Smackdown got shafted, well and truly.

apperantly on wwe.com theres more of the draft to take place on wednesday there time
The draft after the draft
Written: June 11, 2007World Tag Team Champions Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch and WWE Tag Team Champions Deuce & Domino are breathing easy because they avoided possible separation in Mondays first-ever tri-branded WWE Draft. But they are not out of the woods yet – the draft isn’t really over.

Tandems like Paul London & Brian Kendrick and Cryme Tyme, inseparable duos like Finlay and Hornswoggle and factions like the New Breed could still be separated when the WWE Supplemental Draft takes place live this Wednesday at noon on WWE.com. Our fans were shocked when the Land of the Extreme was seemingly left without a champion as Bobby Lashley was drafted to Raw and forced to relinquish the ECW World Title.

World Heavyweight Champion Edge could practically be heard breathing a sigh of relief – and Raw fans roared – when Mr. Kennedy was drafted away from SmackDown. Kennedy is rehabbing his torn triceps, but will eventually bring his trademark bravado to Monday nights.

What will happen to the ECW, Raw, and SmackDown Superstars who were not drafted this Monday night? Will tag teams run out of luck and be separated? Will couples be separated? Will alliances crumble? The only way to find out is to log on to WWE.com this Wednesday at 12 noon and follow the developments in the WWE Supplemental Draft.
