Now that Brisbane's home games are done for the year, they've ended up with an average of 33,426. There's still a bit of uncertainly about the alleged 3,000 unregistered scans from the Titans game, so if that is or has proven to be correct then the average would be revised up to 33,676.

Other tidbits,

- Average up on last year's 32,868.
- 7th straight season of increases, up from 2001's 19,710.
- This year's aggregate broke the 400,000 barrier for the first time in 14 years.

37,552 @ Suncorp
14,127 @ SFS

Sensational result at SFS given the conditions. Under every awning EVERY seat was filled. Great atmosphere too.

Well done to all of the 14k at the SFS last night, a brilliant crowd IMO.

Suncorp crowd was a bit disappointing, but okay nonetheless. While the rain held out for the match, the place was blanketed in light (but still really irritating rain) from about 5pm-7pm.

A sunny Sunday arvo against Newcastle to farewell Bennett... well, I don't want to harp on about it too much because it's done and dusted, but 50k would've been a real possibility IMO. People can say it's soft or whatever else, but the amount of fans that travel from Ipswich, Toowoomba, Sunny Coast and Gold Coast for Broncos games is huge. Add to that the number of people who don't want their kids being out until 10:30pm at night, and IMO you've easily got 10,000.

Weather strikes at bad times doesnt it, the weather would just about have killed off any walk up crowd last night.
I was there, had f**kin mad seats as well but they were where it was pissing down, so the sfs management were nice enough to let everyone go upstairs where it was (relatively) dry.

Dry weather last night probably would've got 25-30k, and it would've been sensational atmosphere on the eastern side of the ground (i believe thats the side opposite where the players run out?) As it was it was a great atmosphere. I love getting to the sfs tho and the walk (well run as it was last night in the pouring rain) round to the gate as you hear the volume of noise the place creates. This ground absolutely sh*ts on the olympic stadium.

Apparently Andrew Moore was poking fun at the crowd figure announced last night at the SFS.

The guy has no idea. You can still cram 18-20k in the under cover areas of that stadium during rain, giving an appearance that not many are there.

My prediction from looking at it on TV was 16k.

30k easy had the night been fine.

If Norths stayed solvent, they would have taken the Panthers place on the Criteria. For all their wealth and junior base, the fact is Penrith probably have the worst supporter base of any Sydney club and the comp would have been better off with them merged.

So why did they have an upgrade.
