I flicked over the Footy Show briefly tonight and just happened to be when Turvey was on and for once I actually stopped and watched it. Shame the whole show wasn't like that, except sans Mason. FFS don't ask current players what they think. They've only got one agenda. This whole issue comes back to one thing and that's getting people who care about the well being of the game, and nothing else, making the decisions. That means no agendas.

Gould next week... :rolls: will be more "raise the salary cap" propoganda, just like Willie. I await the day when people just relax about who wants to stay and go, and not blackmail Gallop and the game to keep pouring money into selfish players and their managers pockets.

They attack him for not growing the game nationally etc, and building the money to compete with overseas or other codes, and then simultaneously they want to leak money out of the game with annual cap increases to clubs?? Real development doesn't come through knee-jerk reactions.

Gold Coast have been a successful expansion... let's plan for the next one (Central Coast, Perth/Adelaide?) instead of current players chasing bigger pay days.
