Blackett hasn't left the club, and I'm actually quite surprised to see Orton in front of him. Blackett is a better front rower than Orton, who I believe is more suited to the back row.

Offers were made from the Sharks, much not enough to entice some of these boys to the Shire.

McKendry will start from the bench as an impact player. Grant and Wooly will fight it out for the starting prop position.

Paulo will start in the backrow.

Waddell will start in Toyota cup, but if he remains injury free, he will repace Tighe in the centres.

Smith may have to battle it out for a back row spot with Lewis or Penese.

Gordon is a certainty on one wing with Tia Kalifi/Lewis on the other. Jennings and Gordon can both switch back to fullback to cover for Coote if he gets injured.

Graham may switch to 5/8th of even lock. I still wouldn't rule out Masada playing lock or in the halves depending on form.

Elford and Cooper, out star signings will be playing at Windsor.

Personally I think we should be chasing Bird and Carney for 2010.

Fibro has blackett signed with the club for next year.He must have been close to a spot in the nrl squad. If he stays and plays with windsor i can see him pushing up into the squad

My understanding is that Blackett will be staying. I believe he will push for a spot if he has some luck with injuries.

Ps. Killkenny, I was only joking about Bird. I believe he is spending the off season at Coogee Bay cranking chocolate frogs out in the freezer.

Blackett is a good honest front rower. Nothing too fancy, just eats up the metres and has a very good work rate in defence. He's a bit like a younger, whiter version of Petero. We could do a lot worse than him for a front rower.

We are going to have a young squad next year. If we can find a long term #7, it'll help us no end... what about a Graham / Romelo halves combo?

I'd prefer a Graham / Iselin combo. It was working well in NYC before Iselin did his shoulder

It's spelt Danny Chiha and great to see another North Sydney local junior in a top grade squad.

In 2007 Brendon HLAD was just about the player of the year of the then Jersey Flegg, could play the full 80 minutes and not a hint of injury. He was discarded without a second thought by the wise men within our management / recruitment team. Still can't quite figure that decision out considering some of the promotions to next years top grade squad from the NYC side? Personally, none of the forwards in this years NYC came close to HLAD's form of 2007. He was certainly worth a minimum contract in my opinion.

Yes I am aware you were joking about Greg Bird. I hope he rebuilds his career and mends his relationship with his American girl. It is clearly true love and one misguided flick pass with a schooner glass should not be allowed to ruin both his career and future happiness.

In addition to the above, we clearly have any number of potential half combinations. None of them any good, but plenty none the less.
