2010 LU Forum Player of the Year

With Downie and I being made moderators of the Manly forum. The first thing we decided together was to pick up the activity of our MWSE forum and in doing so hopefully increase the MSWE membership on LU.

We have decided we will run a forum player of the year competition. Each round every Manly fan on the forum gets a 3 2 1 vote. We will then tally the votes for each week and come up with the 3 2 1. The player at the end of the season with the highest tally is deemed the winner.

I am sure the players at Manly will see this as a higher honor than the Dally M awards.


That brings me to the next dilemma. Do we name it after a former Manly great like Menzies, Fulton or Eadie? Or keep it how it is?

Lets nominate ex Manly players to name it after, try to think of players who are so consistent in their performance and effort over a long period of time at the club.

Hard to pick just 1 player when there'd be a few excellent choices...giving it a 2 player title to me sounds a bit corny...

The players might get a kick out of winning the 'Beaver' award as well.

Might be an idea to pool money for a cheap trophy, or headgear even, with a little plaque on it..and get someone at the club to give it to the winner.
