Total Membership Number - 160,122 and growing!

Still 6 weeks to go until cut off... Could we reach 200,000? Even if we don't this year, think we can next forsure!

Cowboys better have a good year on the field. I think they will the only team to not reach last year's total. Melbourne will continue to climb, especially with a couple of wins under their belt.

You don't get it do you...

I keep on telling you the Eels will beat last years numbers! The official, FINAL NRL numbers come in between April and June. That is when the final figure came in for say the 11k the Eels got last year.

Going by the last few years trends, ~40% of the current total memberships will sold between round 1 and round 5.

So expect some big gains over the next couple of weeks when footy is on peoples minds.

Can't expect every team to show growth every year. Hopefully this year the cowboys will show some heart and give their fans more of a reason to show up next year.

That isn't meant as a dig btw. Their supporters have been the most loyal in the league but that can only last so long.

for 2008 Roosters had Freddy's 5000. Three years later we may get to 10k before the final cut off. Still a long way to reach the likes of CB, but still a good effort

I would say (and i haven't been up to NQ lately so anybody correct me if i am wrong) that Yasi would have more of an effect on the Cowboys not reaching last years numbers then their on field playing performances.

The cutoff for final membership numbers, from the adverts I've seen, is May 1st.

Well done chookies. Just goes to show what a successful season and a sustained membership drive can do. If the ~40% theory holds true in the case of the roosters it would mean 12,500 members by close which would be a phenomenal result.

not really mate, our numbers were sh*thouse before Yasi hit, IMO it's pretty much an 'up yours' to the club because people are sick of what is happening with the club, pretty much since the sacking of Graham Murray. All we want is to see guys having a dig, unfortunatley over the last 3 years, about 30-50% of the team did not seem to be doing that. People up here are patient but they can't be expected to watch disgraceful football year in year out. Hell I was more interested in watching the Raiders play last year than I was my own team, I'm a diehard but even I had had enough of watching the pathetic rabble run around.

Hopefully tonight they show to the world things have changed here, but with the selection of Bani and Graham on the wing, I'm really worried nothing has changed.
