Can't this argument go elsewhere?

So this thread can be dedicated to next years Membership not past years attendences, tv ratings etc.

Yay, let's have a go at on-field performance in a discussion about memberships, crowds and ratings. Top stuff there.

Credit for the away pulling capacity but if your membership is at the levels it is, your home crowds need to match it. Urgently. Game days at the two venues need to break even. While the membership money is all well and good, the additional $$$ from Food & Bev, merchandise and other avenues - only gettable if those members actually pick up those membership cards and start bringing more people as well.

Perhaps before huffing and puffing so much you should have read the post that I quoted. Then you may have been able to understand my comment.

Obviously (or not judging by some of the posters here) there is a correlation between away attendance with membership numbers and home attendance for my club. We have large away attendance and comparatively high membership numbers. Our home attendance is not terrible, especially considering the size and make-up of our stadiums but not great either. So this would suggest that a large portion of our supporters are spread throughout the east coast and regional areas and unable to regularly attend home games. There fore they contribute through club memberships and attend matches when we roll into places like Brisbane, Gold Coast, Newcastle etc.

Do you have facts and figures to back up your claim that we urgently need to break even at our game days? Or just another one of your educated guesses?

Oh god lol Non-ticketed parading around as ticketed. StMerge enters a new low.
Dude, stop it, you're embarrassing. BunniesMan is speculating. The counter is indeed ticketed memberships.

Do you honestly think that WIN and WIN Jubilee pay for themselves on a match day if they don't crack 14 or 15k?

When you're the second highest attended team in the comp it's hard to have a higher away average. Doi!

You're the embarrassing one Timmah. Who do you support these days? Bulldogs? StMerge? Bears?

Dude, stop it, you're embarrassing. BunniesMan is speculating. The counter is indeed ticketed memberships.
Speculating? In the bloody page selling their memberships it is clear red v means both. The counter says "red v members" and not "ticketed members". Don't you think they'd claim it if it was ticketed only because that's more impressive. Why would you make it look like you're counting both if you're only counting one.

Continue to embarrass yourself.

The day you realise it's not all about hating other teams and it's all about supporting your own team...

And who the f**k are you to question who I support when I AM a member, and you are not...?

You are ridiculously simple

The question was asked last year. If I recall the Dragons had a counter and it always matched the ticketed membership lists the NRL produced throughout the off-season. I don't see any reason it would've changed.

Of course you'd want it to be total memberships - suits Souths' better if that's the case.

So is it or is it not ticketed?

What happened to the rugby league culture of tribalism? that's why people want to continue playing at suburban grounds and make the NRL the NSWRL.

StMerge fans think they are number 1 bragging about their memberships. I've just been pointing out how they are number 5 in Sydney. I've just mentioned how their memberships meen nothing when they can't even fill a 20,000 seat stadium. Also been pointing out that crowds aren't everything. highlighting the Dogs superiority over StMerge in the FTA and Pay TV ratings.

Timmah is clearly supporter of rugby league. You don't have to agree with him and we all enjoy having a dig at each other, but this business of playing the man simply because he loves the game is pretty lame imo.

From what I can see, Timmah goes to as many matches as possible and promotes the game at every opportunity. Beyond that, he is simply entitled to opinion. Too much to bear for some?

As I understand it, the figure is ticketed memberships. I am aware the Bulldogs' is total.

I've actually agreed with some, even most of your points. I just don't see why the need for the sad little "St Merge" crap you and others go on with. It's almost as funny as people calling us merkinerbury or the bullsh*ts or something stupid like that... i.e. not funny at all.

I think you'll find, none of us were bragging about our memberships at all, and we simply came in here after you started trash talking our club.

And it's been pointed out what a poor fan you are, bagging other clubs yet you aren't even a member of your own.

No way the Dragons counter is total,GF winners would have way more then the 10,000 odd there counter says by now if it were indeed total.

No? I've spent the entire offseason thinking differently and just changed my mind the last couple days with more info.

So why do you say Souffs?

Dragons 10,197 - premiership effect maybe, and also because they were released late last year, relative to this year.
Rabbitohs 8,285
Eels 7,812
Bulldogs 7,254
Tigers 4,438
Raiders 2,011

Whats the source for the Raiders number? Website counter seems to show just over 6000?
