some seem to be missing the point that the EGS issue was with the board of the leagues club, a club which has a turnover off memory of about $60M a year.

The are a lot of rules and regulations involved in the running of a licensed club that need to be followed by law. It is not just about a footy club. We have highly paid staff that should be around everything that is to be meet whether it is the club constitution, Licensed club act or office of liquer and gaming. Failure to meet some of these would involve more than embarrassing oversight.

My favourite part of this thread is that the same people who said that the new board making of an issue about An executive officer using club monies for his own purposes or overpaying cleaning contracts by hundreds of thousands of dollars, now see an administrative oversight in relation to election by laws as beig the most heinous episode in the club's history.

Either that or the fact that people blame the board for being in the press but not the couple of individuals running a deliberate media campaign against the board and not going a fucjk how it effects the club.

My least favourite is the bloke who is so pissed off he isn't on first name terms with the administration that nothing anyone does now is any good. That's just sad.

And thats the funny part, I am on a first name basis with all the board. They all know me, I know them. Some I have known for way longer than the last 2 elections.

I thought big fella was talking about PO using money for his own purposes and didn't realise he has allegedly payed the money back.

As for the DF legal bills, as far as I'm aware it hasn't been to court yet and as of the last yearly report, no money has been paid back.
My assumptions on this case are that that there are questions whether the bill was for a personal defamation case or one relating to DF position with the club. The club covers legal costs if the legal fees relate to a court case in the line of duty.

As no crimanal charges have been laid, until the civil case is heard nobody should assume anything.

All this back and forth crap is not solving anything. The fact is that whilst ever there are unproffessional goings on within the board and management of the club it will filter through on the field. I'm not for one minute suggesting things are not honest what I'm saying is "A new broom sweeps clean" in this case it hasn't swept very well. All they've done in my club is destroy the spirit. We have always had the most loyal supporter group of any club, this goes back to the 60's we we 1 or 2 in season crowd support every season.FACT. We do not need Johnny come Lately blokescoming in and destroying our club. Let them feed their egos elsewhere. Wages dont buy loyalty. Stop this in house bickering and get on with the job or GET OUT.
