Kennedy for sure.

I honestly don't understand what people see in Costigan. Apart from that 2010 finals series he was by far the most inconsistent player in the NRL and he's yet to have any kind of impact at Origin level.

Pete - I could not agree with you anymore regards Costigan. Wouldn't make my squad let alone team.

I'd agree with that before 2010. The whole season he was great for the Dragons imo, hes really turned into a complete forward, whether thats the backrow or front row.

But I agree he hasnt had a huge impact at Origin level, I dont know the numbers, but he usuaully only gets 15 mins in the second half and he has done a pretty good job imo.

The way I see it, especially with Shillington gone, who would I rather have coming off the bench thats needs to play some prop/backrow? Id take Costigan over Taylor every day of the week.

I don't know Andrew, it was easily his best season I'll give him that but to say he was great is a bit of a leap. I thought he was very good for the Dragons during the finals, aside from the odd sloppy error here and there.

I honestly haven't noticed him when he's come on in Origin so I'm not really hung up on Taylor replacing him. Hell Lillyman could replace him and I don't think I'd notice.

Swap Shillington for Dallas Johnson ...... I'm happy to go with that.

Parker has been in great form also

He's unlucky

With Shillington out they are more likely to move Harrison to the second row, Johnson to lock and start Myles on the bench IMO.

Why start Myles on the bench? Start Myles in second and thus why not use Thaiday as a bench prop?

I'm pretty sure Big Mel wont want a centre on the wing when we have so many good young wingers. Appart from that the back line picks its self.

Forwards are a little different, we have Smith, Civ and Thaiday that will be there, which leaves Scott, Myles, Harrison, Hannett, Taylor, Shillington, Johnson, Parker and Kenedy fighting out for the rest and bench spots. I'm sure Parker will miss out and i think Kenedy will be better next year. Its a tose up for the last bench spots, i'd include Taylor because he can play in the centres if needed, and i'd go Hannant and Shillington just over Johnson.

I think they'll plumb for Johnson ... he's playing better than ever, and looks like he's added some better attack to his game since joining the Cowboys. Given the choice, Queensland selectors will always go for 'toughness' over finesse (although one could hardly call Harrison soft).

If Shillington is ruled out, Kennedy is the obvious choice. Others in the mix: Lilyman, Matthew Bell, Ben Ross. It's all downhill after Kennedy.

I guess they both provide the felxibility off the bench (i.e. cover front and second row) so it probably doesn't matter

Some nice headaches for Meninga to have

Who you guys think will be lock, Johnson or Harrison?

The fact that last year Mal lobbied for the rule of overseas players being eligible to play SOO to be changed directly because of DJ playing for Catalans last season would suggest to me Johnson will start this series. No secret he is held in high regard by not only Mal but the whole QLD setup.

However because Shillington is unlikely to play Game 1, All 3 of Myles, Harrison and Johnson should find their way into the 17.

Dallas Johnson will be there. He's held in very high regard by all the right people. Lockyer endorsed him when asked earlier this year and I can't imagine him being left out. With Costigan out hurt it opens up a spot and he'd be the first to fill it.

i'd take jaiman lowe, nick kenny or kaufusi for the 4th prop
