See if he maintains that when a multi-million dollar carrot is dangled in front of him

The guy isn't interested in money, at least not to the extent that most players are. He could've left for Madrid a few years ago if he really wanted to. There's a reason why Manchester United fans feel they are the most likely to sign him, even above Real Madrid or Manchester City. The man is as down to earth as a star player can get.

 yeah we'll see

I've watched the guy for several years. If he had the chance to take more money or go to a place where he believes he will become a better player, he will take the latter every time. Or you could, you know, make silly assumptions based on the sole fact that he is a football player without any regards to his personality.

The guy doesn't want to actively leave Spurs. If that wasn't an obvious hint, I don't know what is.

Watch him do what, play football?

Unless you've shook his hand you've got no better idea than I do about his personality.

The people who actually do know him do. And again, he has no intentions of leaving Spurs. If he was a money-chaser as you imply, he would've left by now. Our highest paid player doesn't earn even half of what the top earners at other clubs do.

Its been dangled for about 2 years sine he made a mess of Maicon in the CL.

Citeh, Manu and Real have all had a dig.

He is close to home in London and he just stared a family and seems settled. He knows the big money will come but he seems to be happy where he is atm.

He wont be sold to another ELP team thats for sure, nd he has already said he wont play for another EPL team so its Spain or no where.

Besides, he just got a pay rise, he is on a whole 100K a week now at Spurs.

I hope he stays, he's a joy to watch at times despite the awful shirt he wears.

Outside of Spain, he would be perfect for a club like PSG or Bayern who are going to be threats for the foreseeable future.

He will leave at some stage, I say after next season. He needs to stay in the Premier League, and I think he will. Especially because he just signed a deal to become the face of some TV station that covers Premier League in the UK.

If Man Utd don't sign Ronaldo I reckon they'll have a massive crack at him next season.

Couldn't blame him for leaving to United, but they will pay a hefty fee..

I hope he stays, great to watch except when he scores stoppage time winners against west ham. :(

Although that was pretty awesome also..

Levy wont sell to a EPL team. I dont think any amount of money would ever persuade him.

The Toon might be in a bit of trouble if Sunderland wins Monday night and Wigan wins midweek.

Could you imagine the vultures circling if Newcastle drop? They have some stellar talent on the books, I'd certainly have a couple at Everton.

Oh and in case anyone missed it - the second placed team in the Championship secured promotion last night. Hull will play Premier League football next year.

Wolves suffered their second successive relegation, from Premier League to League One in 2 years. Really feel sorry for them, some of the best fans in the country being bled dry by a greedy chairman.

It's tightened right up, Wigan are having another red-hot go at staying up

Villa have hit a bit of form too. At the moment there are seven teams who could realistically end up 18th

Just saw footage from the relegation battle in the Championship. After Jedinak scored for Palace against Peterborough it sent them down.

As a result, in Huddersfield v Barnsley, because a draw now suited both, the GK just dribbled the ball for the 3 minutes of stoppage time.
