After this disaster of an international break I can't wait for real football to resume.

Of the big 6 (or the big 5 and the team coming 9th)

I predict wins for Arsenal, Chelsea and City. Draws for Liverpool and Tottenham. Loss for United.

United need to get a move on if they want Europa football.

In all seriousness, another gameday, another day Arsenal, Chelsea and City get further ahead of United.

If they keep it up 4th really will be the limit of what United can acheive.

Moyes makes some of the most geniused illogical substituions I've ever seen from a manager of a big club. Putting on Smalling to protect a 1-0 lead at home against a team like Southampton is madness. United does not play not to lose. They play to win. He needs to figure that out asap.

But they must be patient with him. United did not get to where they are by sacking a young new manager after 2 months of crap results.

Have to give him at least until Christmas 2014.

Onto the actual contenders, I'm starting to think Liverpool is ahead of Tottenham.

The big 6 are in 2 tiers this season. Chelsea, Arsenal and City (in that order of likelihood) competing for 1st. Liverpool, Tottenham and United (in that order) competing for 4th.

Extended a lead with 10 men. Clean sheet. 5 points clear of the rest of the league.

Outstanding character building win. The kind that separates the men from the boys.

Bring on Liverpool next week. We'll show them what a contender looks like.

Liverpool are flying. Suarridge are flying at the moment. Wait til they get Coutinho back. They will be an even better team.

Keep in mind we are winning games with many important players missing. Walcott is a chance to return for Liverpool, he would be a big addition.

Out of all the top 6 teams I'd probably rather have Liverpool come 2nd behind us than any of the others.

Especially because they haven't condoned any racism lately. Makes it easier not to hate them.

All of Liverpool's goals were class. Sturridge's goal was amazing. Suarez's header and first goal was pure class.

Really hope Chelsea doesn't win tonight so we're officially hosting a top of the table clash next week.

Ideally City and them rip into each other for a 0-0 draw. And Hull puts 5 past Spurs.

Not a big fan of Chel$ki, but I do like the special one, and his reaction this evening after the winner was something special, probably better than the knee slide that came in his last 90th minute winner against shiteh!

FFS Joe Hart you genius. Because of his ineptitude Arsenal v Liverpool is not officially a top of the table clash.

Although if Chelsea lose or draw at Newcastle, Arsenal v Liverpool will still be winner gets 1st place.

Speaking of Newcastle, wtf is wrong with them. 50,000 fans show up every week. Why are they not more successful? How do they not have the money to at least be on the same level as the likes of Everton just outside the top 5/6. Instead they're near relegation and losing to the bottom team.

And with the Sunderland win, after just 9 games every team has won and every team has lost. That is why this is the greatest league of all.

 9 Games in... it's been a while since you've won the league hasn't it?!
1st v 2nd doesn't happen very often for anyone.

And even if it is only 9 games in, 1st v 2nd clashes always get hyped up a little bit and create an extra special atmosphere.

Hopefully Chelsea drop points and it is still a game for 1st.

Being League leaders at any point during the season is a special asset. It gives your players confidence, it can scare your opponents.
