He didn't say it, The Sun or one of the other red tops did. He's knocked back some call ups for Belgium though, he's also eligible for Albania, Turkey or Serbia.

Why would he wanna play for England. What connection does he have with England? I'm pretty sure he was born in Belgium and he is Albanian.

My bad, I just read the headline in the DailyMail where Hodgson was saying he would like him to play for England in the future. Under FIFA rules, he'll only qualify if he lives for 5 years after his 18th birthday, which is 2018. By then, he'll already have made his international debut for another country

FTR, he doesn't want to play for Belgium either, he wants to represent Albania

Spurs spending 100 million has got them 6 goals in 7 games. Defoe and Soldado are both ordinary.

Extremely agitated with Arsenal and Liverpool being 2 points clear. I think Liverpool will fall away but I see Arsenal as a genuine threat. They've been getting results with a lot of players out. They'll only get harder to beat.

I still think Chelsea will win the league. The teams with the two best managers will finish top 2.

The blue scum, us, Tottenham and Liverpool will be competing for 3rd and 4th.

Prediction:

1. Chelsea
2. Arsenal
3. Scum
4. United
5. Liverpool
6. Tottenham

I can't see Liverpool falling away. They have good defence and with Suarez/Sturridge up front their attack is very strong. Also wait till Coutinho comes back into the starting XI, they will only get better.

We will fall away. We have no depth and coupled with a dream run to start the season I just can't see us maintaining this run. Suarez and Sturridge look great but the is still no creativity in the middle when coutinho is out.

Also think our defence won't hold up all season either. Still lose possession too easy and let sides comes at us for extended periods. When the big sides start clicking we'll fall back. I dread what the gunners will do to us.

Yeah the lack of depth in Liverpool may bite them hard.

Funny how Wenger was getting hammered for not signing anyone good during the transfer window. Media were pinning Arsenal down to do shit this season but he comes up with a class signing and boom they are favourites to win the comp.

If the Arse spend some more in January while consolidating the great start then who knows come May. Such a dominant attacking midfield. It's amazing the confidence one WC player has given them. I honestly dread what ozìl, Wilshire and co. will do to our horrible closing down play. Specially when we get into those periods of chasing the bal around instead of watching runners off the ball and defending as unit.

But can't complain so far really. Atleast we're not drawing at Anfield to trash every week like usual :D

You do realize the "100 million" we spent was to replace 100 million worth of players, right?

Soldado ordinary? Please watch our games, in the games we've won he's been absolutely pivotal to our attack whether he has scored or not. The issue for us is that we haven't got our full strength team locked down just yet, as well as a major shake-up of the midfield and forwards. Besides, our team seems keen to feed Siggurdson and Townsend more than Soldado for some reason

Best example of how bonkers we are in attack at times; Lamela comes on, doesn't get the ball. Wasteful Townsend hogs it instead. ARGH

I agree for now obviously but we'll have to wait and see until the end of the season. The reality is that pretty much the whole midfield/attackers for Spurs are new, it's going to take a while for them to really get into a good groove. I'm just happy we've only dropped points in three games so far.

people bashing Soladado are just looking at the lack of goal and not his play, he has been quiet good and very skilful, I have no doubt the goals will come, how many times as he hit the sidebar or cross bars ?

his shots are generally on target

our whole front 6 are new, excluding Defoe who has only played one game, Soldado, Eriksen, Chadli, Lamela, Townsend, Paulinho, and our subs like Holtby and Siggy have been here for one season, so its gonna take a bit of time to gel up front and no doubt it will eventually

Anyone saying Arsenal could win are jumping the gun i think.

It's not that we don't have depth. I just don't think we have enough quality at striker. Whoever plays there will get a f**k load of chances but in tight games chances will be limited so they'll need to score when they get the chance.

In the 78th minute, after coming from behind, Giroud had this chance. He finishes that and we win 2-1. Having a top class striker like City, United and even Liverpool have would have been the difference and we would've ended up with 3 points.

Wenger is obviously going to make a move for a striker in the next window but whether or not we can get a world class one will decide if we are challenging United for third or City/Chelsea for first.

Harry Redknapp, what a loser.

I made one of the biggest mistakes of my life the night I went to watch Chelsea win the 2012 Champions League final.

You all know what happened. Chelsea were outplayed by Bayern Munich — as they had been by Barcelona and by Napoli in previous rounds — but they won the trophy.

It meant Spurs hadn’t qualified for the following season’s Champions League, despite finishing fourth — two points above Chelsea in the Premier League. They took our place as holders. I was distraught. I felt like crying.

Jamie invited me over — he said Sky had a box at the game and I should go as his guest.

Ruud Gullit was there and was carrying on right in front of me like a lunatic. He had nothing riding on the game — Chelsea had sacked him, for heaven’s sake — but he didn’t care.

Ruud was jumping around, cheering, singing, banging on the windows to draw the attention of the Chelsea players — and, when they looked up, in the background was me, feeling probably at my lowest as a football manager.

In the end, I think Jamie got quite upset on my behalf.

‘Ruud, do us a favour, they sacked you, didn’t they?’ he said to him. ‘Ah, yes, but that was different people,’ said Ruud and then carried on oblivious.

I felt embarrassed, really, as if I was spoiling the party, but I still think his behaviour was over the top.

 poor, Harry. Ruud obviously didn't get the memo that Chelsea is a soulless club and nobody can build any kind of love for them. Especially if you're an FA Cup winning manager.

In case you've been living under a rock, 'arry has just released a book and his quotes are all over the media.

I read some quotes the other day where he was bashing players players for pulling out of international games so they'd be fit for their club games and he gave it to them deluxe.

Agree Negredo is all class. Had high hopes for Dzeko this year after a good preseason but he just isn't consistent enough in finding the back of the net as Aguero and Negredo are.

I had high hopes for Dzeko as well.

I gave him plenty of chances to rekindle some of that '11-'12 season form, but he just isn't good enough unfortunately. He's inferior to Negredo on just about every level.

Hopefully he and Garcia are shipped out in one of the next two windows.
