City are playing Crystal Palace at the Etihad, unlikely they will be dropping points.
It certainly is unlikely but all streaks come to an end and even dominant teams drop points every now and then against lesser teams.
Why does it matter so much who is on top at Christmas/New Years? All I care about is where my team is in May.

I didn't say it was important. But that didn't stop people mocking me when my prediction looked like being wrong, and now it looks like that mocking might have been premature and I wanted to point it out.

On top at xmas, 5th at new years? If we win two games we're favourites for and you lose 2 games you're expected to lose and you'll be 6 points off the lead. With just 2 points separating 1st and 5th you might not even be in the 4 when 2014 rolls in.

Of all the other big teams I hate Liverpool least, I want you in the 4 ahead of the plastics and the spuds and MoyesU and if we can't win I'd rather Liverpool win than the rest of them.

Having said that, you have to see where you are after the City/Chelsea games.

We just played them and we're out of 1st only on goal difference. That scenario was beyond my wildest dreams at the start of the season. Now let's see where Liverpool is after playing them. First or outside the 4 or inbetween somewhere.

According to who?

Every bookie in England has City as short priced favourites, and the tab has City as well.

There's no way City shouldn't be the favorites.

Anyone who doesn't think so is deluded. They won't be chased down once they reach the top.

On a side note, how f**king good is the EPL this year? only 8 points separating 1st and 8th.

It's getting interesting at the other end of the table too

The relegation train looks like it's heading away from Norwood Junction and over towards Upton Park...

I didn't mean for the title. I meant we're favourites to win the two games I was talking about. I was discussing Arsenal and Liverpool and saying what happens if we win these next two games we're expected to win and Liverpool lose these games they're expected to lose.

I don't think LOCOG would be happy to have Championship football at the Olympic Stadium. Not exactly the best example of the Olympic legacy...

No-one gives a flying f**k what your opinion is BM... the one thing United, Liverpool, Arsenal (apart from you), Chelsea, City, Everton and Tottenham fans all agree on.

Indeed

The sensible thing to do would be to save some coin and stay at the Boleyn Shithouse

Instead they'll be playing Championship games in a half empty Olympic Stadium

At least they wont be able to hear their own fans booing them, I suppose

Now that I agree with

As for tonight's game I really hope we win but even a point would help.. I'm not so optimistic about either

Perhaps if Suarez didn't dive so much, he might get the benefit of the doubt occasionally...

Great game to watch though, Chelsea looking much sharper in the first half and closing it out in the second

We still have more room for improvement though

I've seen enough of Liverpool on the last two matches to know they are still contenders.

They have just been given the worst possible draw at this time of year. To play us and then Chelsea away within 72 hours would be tough for any team. I would have been happy with a point under those circumstances and they arguably should have had at least one point.

If Liverpool are contenders then so are Everton.

Suarez will get them points against the sh!tter sides in the league but the big teams are doing well at limiting his involvement (didn't see him touch it once in the first 20 min against Chelsea) and as soon as his form drops so will Liverpool. In saying that, if they can keep crushing the mid table/bottom clubs than they should make a decent push for the top 4.

Saw a stat earlier today. Suarez has 19 goals this season. 16 against the lowest 7 sides and 3 against the teams placed 1-13.

Won't be long before City is on top and United are back in the top 4. Without any reinforcements in Jan i can see it finishing:
1. City
2. Chelsea
3. Arsenal
4. United
