I'm still wary of United. I'm not ruling them out of a legit top 4 challenge until it's mathematically impossible.

They get beat by Arsenal on thursday and it will be all over if Liverpool win. They would need Liverpool to lose 5 of their last 12 and win atleast 11

All of a sudden crisis club Arsenal can go top of the league if we win against United.

City have dropped 5 of their last 6 points, West Brom hasn't lost to Chelsea this season, but we're the only ones who makeheadlines when we drop points.

We always seem to find it hard to get 3 points against United, home or away, in form or not. But if we do and go top with just 12 games left we are as good a chance as anybody of going all the way.

You made headlines because you lost 5-1.

Unless goal difference decides the league losing 2-1 or 5-1 or 15-1 doesn't put you any further back.

You don't get bonus points by losing narrowly. You don't get bonus points for beating top teams. Every game is worth just 3 points for a win and 0 points for a loss. Every game is equally important.

If we win tomorrow we will be top of the league after 26 games. That is all that matters. Who we won against and lost against and by how much is irrelevant.

Just watching some replays. Chelsea / West Brom ATM.

Ivanovich should have been sent off for the abuse he gave the refs assistant. That was a disgraceful display. No player should ever be allowed to carry on like that.

I can never understand why players are not sent for abusing officials.

We repeat. You made headlines because you were 4-0 down after 20 mins, and lost 5-1. League leaders shouldn't be getting humiliated like that. Why don't you understand that?

I have a sneaky feeling Arsenal will bounce back vs Utd...

Of course it was a bad game but what I don't understand is how out of proportion the reaction has been.

If we win tomorrow we have 3 points out of 6 over the last week. City has 1 point out of 6. They've done more damage to their campaign in that time than we have. They should be getting more criticism than we are.

I hope so. I'm not overly optimistic because United have a habit of pulling our pants down regardless of form. But we are due a win against them.

The reaction was out of proportion because the scoreline was out of of proportion. We got absolutely shredded in the first 20 mins on a ground we haven't lost on in 7 years.

When Spurs got smashed by City and Liverpool, same thing happened.
United getting belted by City, same reaction.

United and Spurs season long form has them out of the champions league. That deserves a fair amount of criticism. Our form has us a win away from leading the league, when 6 months ago people were predicting we'd be out of the top 4.

See the difference?

Yes there is a difference. You guys shouldn't be getting spanked like you did against us. Hence the headlines.

Like someone else said, the scoreline was out of proportion, hence an out of proportion reaction. A combination of the scoreline, Arsenal's pathetic ineptitude, Liverpool's famous blitzkrieg, and the fixture beginning line of very tough, credential proving matches for Arsenal, contributed to the reaction.

Funny how Liverpool have been able to beat Utd over the years a fair number of times, yet they're so generally mediocre against Arsenal.

I'm staying up for this so we better back up our demolition of Arsenal with another strong game. Don't want a repeat of West Brom after Everton.

Best result would be a draw with Arsenal and Utd, I expect Arsenal to win though.

Citeh v Sunderland and Everton v Palace are off because of the weather

Inconvenient for Citeh, who already have a pretty full dance card
