Oh. True. The thing is everyone knows Stoke don't play the right way. They happily injure you. They have a particular hardon for Arsenal players. Their crowd too. And we know the refs won't protect us. So it's only human to not be able to go into a contest properly without fearing of broken bones.

Giroud was stomped on TWICE and it was ignored.

Referees don't card Stoke players enough and the FA doesn't punish dangerous tackles enough. Shawcross got 3 games for destroying more than a year of Ramseys career.

That is why we struggle there.

Wenger is also as big of a problem as Stoke are.

Haha arsenal were horrible until the Ox came on. He created more in his small time on the field than any other arse player could manage. Charlie Adam is a grub tho for the stomp on Giroud. Something hilarious about Wenger face when it goes tits up. The look after sanogo bottled it at the end was hilarious.

That's arsenal done IMO. Still time but I just don't think they have it mentally.

People are a little harsh on Arsenal. Liverpool keep at 4 points away and everyone starts to label them as title challengers. Arsenal meanwhile drop to 4 points behind and that's their title challenge over. Come on

Give it up mate. The Goners will be playing in the UCL play-offs at this rate.
Some are calling Liverpool a serious challenger. If Liverpool is, so are we.

We still have Chelsea and City in big 6 point games. I'm 100% sure if we win those two games we win the league. Now is that unlikely? Of course it is. But if you told me in August winning the title would be a realistic chance with 10 games to go I'd have taken it every day of the week.
Wenger is also as big of a problem as Stoke are.
Before buying Ozil I would have thought so. But he has shown the willingness to spend. If he buys a similar quality striker this summer we will be up there again.

We're closer to winning the league (either this year or next) than United are.

No, I was talking about Wenger being the problem in that particular game against Stoke. Every team gets rough treatment there, Arsenal just seemingly don't deal with it well. We used to struggle with it a lot too though.

Your point about your title challenge is what I was trying to convey. If Liverpool are 4 points behind and title hopefuls, then so are Arsenal who are 4 points behind.

But in the general scheme of things, a lot of people also argue that buying Ozil was like giving a pacifier to Arsenal fans...

See IMO it's more a case of it realistically being a 2 horse race despite the 4 point gap. don't think us or arsenal will win it. It can happen but Chelsea and City will finish 1 & 2 as they are just better sides than us and the arse.

We also went for Suarez. 40 million dollar players don't grow on trees. Very few are worth it and even fewer are available. If we get one star every summer I'll be happy.

Wah Wah Wah.

Stoke play within the rules. Well, barely, but there's nothing that states a team should get kicked out of the EPL because they're violent bullies.

I'm not sure what you expect a team with a fraction of the budget and revenues of a big Premiership club and a fan base the size of a middling championship club is going to do...There's a reason they've had the longest consecutive run in the premiership outside of the biggest ten or so premiership clubs. Edit, forgot Fulham.

If only Tottenham weren't even bigger losers than Arsenlol we could have had the please of watching them take their UCL spot...

Dude the Ozil transfer came after the Suarez talk died down. No way were they going to spend on both. And I think it's safe to say now that Suarez is worth a lot more than 40 million!

We're still title challengers, but not at the level City and Chelsea are. I'll make a full judgement on our chances once a few more games have gone. If we keep relatively consistent results and then get at least 4 from City and Chelsea, we're a massive chance.

Teams like Norwich and Swansea are small teams with small budgets that manage to play decent football.

Intentional fouls need to be more harshly punished. Football isn't about kicking players. Every contest should be for the ball, many of Stokes are not and they keep getting away with it.

Haha mate I'm just your typical pessimistic Liverpool supporter. We could be in Chelsea's position right now and I'd be telling everyone our bubble is about to burst. Still I think our defence is gonna cost us in the coming weeks.

 I totally understand why you're pessimistic. Don't worry, we've also got Sakho coming back in the coming weeks. I'm quietly confident about a defensive improvement in the coming weeks. Rodgers has got a massive 2 weeks to work on it.

Yeah surely the heart attack style of defending has to ease up soon haha. I'd be much more confident of a sakho/agger CB pairing. Tho there heart in mouth defenders as well :/

If only Enrique was fully fit as well be much less pessimistic. Not confident just less pessimistic haha

Thing is Sakho never actually f**ks up when he's on the ball. His awkward style is kind of deceiving. A feel a lot more safe when he's defending. He makes some absolutely great tackles in the box.

Yeah agreed, he's also a beast in the air. Big and strong and runs through players in challenges. Both he and Danny suit our pass it from the back style as they are so much more proficient on the ball and passing it out.

Heart stops when kolo or Skrtel receive the ball under pressure at the back :/
