Really happy with the fight Arsenal showed this morning. That could be a huge point at the end of the season.

I'm hoping Liverpool somehow win.been waiting for them to fade away all season long but they keep on keeping themselves in the hunt.

Destiny now in our hands.
Yep. Chelsea to come to Anfield, City to come to Anfield, Spurs tonight.

Not really

Citeh still have a game in hand
Last nights results mean if we win every game from here on in, given that takes three points out of the possible tally's for Chelsea and City, we win the league. In that scenario the maximum points finish would be 89 for us, 88 for city, 84 for Chelsea.

It's far from being in the box seat. Winning 7 games on the bounce is very, very unlikely. But it is a case of destiny being in our own hands.

It's certainly exciting.

Crunch the numbers Jimbo...

I did Sam

Citeh have eight games yet to play. You have seven

Your optimism regarding your fixture on 13 April does not change the fact that Citeh are only one point behind you, with potentially three extra to collect

If it's in anyone's hands, it's Citeh's

Teams facing relegation might have a bit to say in the title race

Given the amount of clubs around the danger zone, their desire to win can sometimes be stronger than teams in the title race

We play Liverpool next, although hopefully a win tuesday morning all but takes them out of the relegation race.

Also play city on the last day.

There's probably no point trying to explain this to you anymore, but I will anyway. I don't know if you're just in denial, or you don't have your thinking cap on. If City win all of their remaining games (INCLUDING AGAINST LIVERPOOL), they win the title. On the flip side, if Liverpool win all their remaining games (INCLUDING AGAINST CITY), they win the title. It's in both of their hands, because this is just now like one big grand final between Liverpool and City spanning over a combined 15 games. Now let's do the maths to back up our argument that Liverpool are also in the driving seat

Liverpool: 68 points
City: 67 points

Liverpool remaining games: 7
City remaining games: 8

Liverpool's end-of-season points tally if they win every remaining game: 68+(7x3)= 89
City's end-of-season points tally if they win every remaining game, bar against Liverpool:
67+(7x3)= 88

Liverpool's end-of-season points tally if they win every game, bar against City: 68+(6x3)= 86
City's end-of-season points tally if they win every remaining game: 67+(8x3)= 91

Hopefully, you can now see that even though City have a game in hand, it's still also Liverpool controlling their own destiny, because City dropped 2 points today. If you still think it's in City's hands, then what you're actually saying is that when they play each other at Anfield, only City has a direct influence on that result, which is clearly untrue.
