Murray hardly double faulted this entire tournament and he is is making up for that all in the one match

Was a poorer tournament without Nadal IMO. Congrats to Novak though, incredible achievement to win 3 in a row.

I know with timezones etc it's not as fun but I've enjoyed having yarns about tennis in this thread so I may make one come Roland Garros time.

Congrats to Novak.

f**k I hope Nadal comes back soon. I got into tennis after the Australian Open in 2012 and decided Nadal was my man. Since then he won the French, but then got knocked out of Wimbledon early and hasn't been back since.

I was looking something up the other day, Nadal has more wins in each of his head-to-head meetings with Federer, Djokovic and Murray.

Come back soon, especially so I don't have to see Murray in finals :D

Really shows how POOR he played in the US Open final, a pusher like Murray should not win too many slams. This was an obvious result lets be deadly honest, best player by the length of the Flemington straight in the final.

ps. Rafa please come back, I far enjoyed Rafa vs Novak more than Murray!

Well that's it for another year. It had its fair share of controversies, drama, entertainment, long rallies, upsets, and players hit in the nuts ie Jack Sock.

Thanks to everyone for participating in this conversation, particularly BDR who added the next day schedules for the Aussie players and top seeds.

See you all in 2014 ;)

Exactly. Each of the Grand Slams are particularly awesome to watch, timezones or not.

I suppose it's easier to see them when you're a bum

Maybe I still prefer Wimbledon and the French Open anyway, so looking forward to those two. I am planning to go to the French Open this year actually
